Postworkout Shake question...


I keep reading that you should throw some malodextrin or dextrose in your PW shakes regardless of whether you are bulking are cutting, however i workout pretty late (usually 7:15 dont get home till around 9) would that still be a good idea to still add the carbs?
I usually just eat a good meal after lifting, especially if I train late (quite often). It's a matter of personal opinion, but I've been maintaining my weight better this way, than drinking a PWO shake, and then following it up with a good meal. Just my 2 cents.
If you are cutting a workout shake that is high in carbs is not a good idea if right afterwards you go to bed. If you are bulking Post workout should not mean anything because one meal literally flows into the next.
