Pre-Workout Supplement Alternatives

I'm on a stim break right now (run ECA a lot). I have hit the two week mark without a coffee or soda. It's hard adjusting.

My current pre-workout is 1.5 scoops of hemavol and 3grams of taurine.
 
I don't like triggering insulin during a workout, as it will lower adrenaline output. I feel protein is best post training.

when I was working with shelby he had me taking pepto-pro, or some other really high quality protein such as hydrolyzed protein, intra-workout with some carbs and I liked it a lot. It's a totally different kind of "vibe" when you are working out and taking protein and carbs intra-workout. I was taking protein before, during, and post-workout but you have to make sure you are not overdoing it and it is in a reasonable amount.

As far the insulin I remember in nutrition class they went over that when your muscles are in work they are receptors that without the need of insulin they take up carbohydrates but for people that don't like to use insulin pre-workout, as they are a lot of people do and it does help with gains, I just say that the only other alternative I know would be insulin mimickers. But some don't like to use them as just like taking intra-workouts it has a totally different vibe into it.
