Bout to fly tomorrow to vegas for the weekend. Anyone know if I can take individual serving protein packets in my carry on?? I've got a bunch of single serving 35g (1.25oz) packets I was going to bring. I've read Yes I can and NO I can't so just seeing if anyone else had any recent experience or if it will be what kind of mood my security bag searchers are in that day!

thanks!

I just recently flew international and I have over a dozen packs of myoplex in my carry on. After my bag went through the xray machine they never said anything, they only asked me to pull out my laptop and ipad to send through by itself. I had a shaker cup to mix the protein, and I also had protein bars since the flight was like 5 hours.

Overall I didn't have any problems with the packets, I was never asked anything about it. I did some research just like you before I flew. People have said that they carry their stuff in a ziploc bag, others have said they had problems with open containers. But no one said they had problems with individual packets that were sealed.

Hope this helps.

on you like your carry on, NO i sure would not think/hope so.
in your checked stuff, YES
bring a few protein bars thats what I do. dont bring a small bag of powder, do you really want the hassle?
not worth it when you guy buy a few bars for flight. leave rest in checked bag.
I flew to TX few months ago, brought aabout 5lb of powder in checked bag and then 6 bars in my backpack.

i flew with 5lbs of protein powder in a huge ziplock back to save on space. no problems there

WITH you onto the plane or in your checked bags?
NOT the same thing. i KNOW they would not let you on with a ziplock filled with powder (5lb to top it off) unless some one should have been let go that day...
