protein question

whats up everybody? i have a simple question how much protein to take a day?
i weigh 165 pounds so i drink as much as my body weigh. and how many times a day? please help me out thank you
and i train hard 4 times a week and i was ever really drinking protein and now im going to start to drink it .
 
Just a whey shake post workout, casein shake before bed, and if you really wanted to have a whey shake in the morning is all you need...I put whey powder in my oats in the morning..
 
You should have protein with every meal. Preferably not just from shakes.
250 - 300g in total, spread out between all your meals should work well.
 
ok i understand sperading it out with meals. but im talking when i have a whey protien shake i drink twice daily of my body weight
 
Your not going to get a definitive answer....this is debated in the medical and fitness world constantly.

IMO 1.5 grams of protein for every lbs in body weight and all depending on your goals.
Always try to chew a majority of your protein intake also dont rely on shakes
 
thanks bro like im trying to bulk up . right now im at 164 and im trying to pack on weight
you need to eat bro. your body isnt gonna absorb all the protein from the shakes as it would from real food. Check out 3J's diet section. Hes posted millions of ways to bulk up and good diet plans. Sure helped me out alot. Good luck boss.

Well protein is very important for human body you must be take at least enough protein in one day. You should have protein with every meal. Preferably not just from shakes. 250 - 300g in total, spread out between all your meals should work well.
