i read in flex that danny padilla(the best bb'er in my opinon) cut his protein intake to 80 grams a day and he was a beast, and a few weeks out from a contest he even dropped his intake to 60grams.. i was wondering if all the protein 1.5grams per body weight was really necessary?

Personally from my own personal experience, at a time i was only getting in like 100 gm of pro a day and that was only from shakes, and protein bars all the other shit i would eat would just be junk. Then i started following my diet, and i upped my protein to 250 gm-300gm and i started to see a major difference in muscle growth, and my strength went threw the roof. I cut out getting my protein from shakes and bars, i started getting all my protein from chicken, milk, beef, eggs and i was able to see a major difference. I regret being lazy in the beginning and not doing that earlier. Maybe it works for that bb'er because im sure he has great genetics, wish i was able to get in only 60 gm's and be shredded. I eat to the point where im nauseated at times.
