Proviron apparently is great addition to testosterone to a) minimise estrogenic side effects, b) theoretically increase free testosterone.
Proviron on its own is near useless in building muscle as it converts to inactive metabolites in the muscles.
What I'm not sure about, and hence the purpose of this thread, is whether Proviron competes with other steroids for binding in the muscle, thus reducing the gains you would make from the other steroids alone.
I looked at this website's page on Proviron, and all I get is a pasted version of Llewelyn's description in 'Anabolics', i.e.:
''The belief that the weak anabolic nature of this compound indicated a tendency to block the androgen receptor in muscle tissue, thereby reducing the gains of other more potent muscle building steroids, should likewise not be taken seriously. In fact due to its extremely high affinity for plasma binding proteins such as SHBG, Proviron may actually work to increase the activity of other steroids by displacing a higher percentage into a free, unbound state.''
The problem I have with this is that it all looks like theoretical academic bullshit.
So I'd like to ask you guys that have actually used it and had experience: has it enhanced other steroids you've used, or has it reduced their efficacy, or neither?
