Pushing exercises are usually associated w/ chest, tri's, and shoulders: Bench, close-grip bench, shoulder presses, tricep presses or extensions, etc.

Pulling exercises are usually associated w/ back and bi's: deads, seated rows, pulldowns, pull ups, barbell rows, curls, etc.

Also in the pushing category can be squats, leg presses, etc for legs.
