PWO Shake Taken Pre-Workout?

I don't know if anyone is aware of Tim Ferriss and/or respects his opinion but I ran across something he suggested that sounded interesting. I normally take my PWO shake immediately after my workout like most everyone does but he says to take it right before beginning the workout since the glucose levels wont peak for about 60 minutes after consuming a PWO shake [protein + maltodextrin] so it makes more sense to take it prior to the workout. He thinks it makes more sense this way because of timing. Does anyone agree with this or should I stick to the traditional method? Thanks.

That's what I have been doing for the past year or so. It does make sense to me. Of course it all depends on what's in your PWO shake, I mix in complex carbs with dextrose as well, plus on's pro complex so I have numerous digestion rates which is why I like to drink before or during. The. I eat a meal appx 30 min after workout.

I use carbo plus by Universal in my PWO shake. I may switch to this method for a few weeks and see if I notice any differences. Thanks for the responses.

Consuming it immediately before training is silly, why not either eat a meal an hour or hour and a half before training and then utilise the nutrients of the meal during training? Proper pre-workout nutrition pretty much kills the need for post workout nutrition.
