Question about What Are Esters and Why Are They Important? article

I just read the article - very good info, btw, but I do not understand part of it. It says:

Now, when you start to inject a steroid the golden rule is to run the steroid at about half the half-life of the ester. You want the most steady levels as possible so that you don’t experience side effects of anabolic use like high estrogen and acne. For that reason Cypionate and Enanthate are usually injected every 3.5 days.

Yet is also says the half-life of Cypionate is 12 days.

If we are to run the steroid at about half the half-life of the ester, shouldn't that be an injection every 6 days? I am sure I am missing something...

Here is the article:

I realize that this is an interesting topic/question and that is dealing with a scientific answer. It's a good thing that we know the reasons why we have these schedules that we use, telling us what is most beneficial for our cycles as well as being safe. For myself after I learned some basics I tried to keep my dose as level as I could. If I wanted a total of 500mg a week then I split it mid week, as most all of us do.

I have done a tougher schedule with Test E and so I injected EOD days. The overlap actually gives me a higher running dose due to the level being more consistent. Of course that means more injections especially if you are doing some Propionate, Acetate and Phenylproprionate at the same time.

i believe it also states that test cyp half life varies from 7-10 days soo every 3.5-4 days is ideal

Ah, gotcha. They have a list that says 12 days - but if it is actually 7 days then 3.5 makes the sense. I am being treated for low T (total is 153). My urologist said I could dose any number of times per month I wanted, provided I divided up the total dosage properly. Right now I am on 1.5ml at 200mg/ml per week. If I wanted to smooth the cycle more, I could do 0.75ml every 3.5 days, correct?

Thats correct. Technically, the more often you dose the more stable you levels will be. But for enenthate and cyp every 3.5days is great.

Thank you all very much. I will probably shift to 3.5 days then, alternative legs; I use the top of my thigh as my injection site.
