Quick question about my routine

evansss

GET BIG
I just started the 5x5 routine....from what i've read it seems that it thickens everybody up from all the heavy compounds that are involved. My goal right now is to cut fat but more specifically in my lower stomach and oblique area...please review my workout and diet and tell me if i can attain my goal.

huh?

5x5 is a decent routine. I't s good start but it is also as far as core lifts go very limited. YOu'll hit a wall with that routine relatively quicky. But take advantage while you can.

5x5 really has nothing to do with your abs though?

its always good to try something new. as far as dropping the extra flab down there fix your diet to a cutting specific one. No matter how much you workout your abs, you will not see them with a layer of fat on them.

Any lean mass you add from training will also help with fat loss due to an increased metabolism but diet and cardio are still #1 for fat loss.

diet has been the hardest part of it all...i mean not bc it takes more drive than just working out but because im in college and the food here is two steps worse than dogshit.

I feel I have the willpower to do it...and def the knowledge of putting together a good program but its so fucking difficult with no money and dining hall food...its a bad combo when your trying to cut .... college was made for fat people.

I found 4x5 to work well for me. Just do 5x5 and see how your body reacts and then change around your routine. Like for me I did 5x5(bench/squat/dead) with 3 compound excercises after each one(3 day split). but I was over training so I cut it down to 4x5 and only 2 excersizes after each, and went to only 2 sets of these. that was perfect 4 me. then my goals changed so I stopped.
