raw oatmeal / uncooked oatmeal

jsut wondering what everyones opinions are on it. i like eating 1 cup in the morning with .25 cup rasins and 1 cup of milk. ive talked to a few people around here and said its hard to digest the raw oatmeal and that i should try cooking it. well i did that today and i had to force every bit of it down. do i have to try and develop a taste for it cooked or is it ok to keep eating raw?
 
When i don't have time i will put a cup of the uncooked oats in the blender with water and drink it. I have no problems but drink it slow or you'll choke
 
i blend it with muscle milk and think its the best thing ever. i like sitting down and having something in the morning while i wake up. not alot of protein. just wondering if its harder on you to eat iin a bowl with milk, than to try and cook it. cause it was a world of difference trying to eat this morning cooked. grossness
 
i cant help but eat it cooked. i simply pour boiling water over a cup of oats and mash it into a thick paste. very filling for my huge appetite. i also LOVE putting in 1 TBSP udos oil in my oats. makes it even softer but still chewy.
 
i tried raw oatmeal a few times; its instantly available, no cooking or dishes, but it's just too dry and bland. I cook it in milk.
 
but what about digesting and all. while its uncooked ive heard its hard to digest is this true or does it really matter

Apart from your body having to pull in water to break it down, it's no big deal.
