i started to shave my legs and i used shaving cream and everything im a guy i first started to shave my legs recently and i have lil red bump things there not major but they are noticable what can i do to get rid of them???????????????? help!

~be sure you start with a new razor.
~shave in the shower, and wash your body first.. this will moisten the skin and make the hair softer to shave.
~exfoliate with one of those loofahs or puffs or something
~use a good shave gel
~ try not to go over the same area too many times, this will irritate the skin.
~after shower, rinse off and put aloe vera, or lotion

for the next few days be sure to keep exfoliating whenever you shower.

If it continues to be a problem, try using a cortizone cream (over the counter) to treat irritation.

the best stuff i've found for saving the delicate bikini region from shaving bumps is nair's "after cream" that came with my bikini nair kit. i think it's maybe the tea tree oil that keeps the bumps at bay.

it's stinky for a bit but it works like a charm.

When you begin shaving in certain areas it seems like there's no avoiding the bumps completely at first, but after a while your skin will get used to being shaved and the bumps will stop. I use baby oil for the bikini area and gel for everywhere else. My husband uses liquid soap. We both use a Venus razor. Shaving is the last thing I do in the shower. If the suggested lotions irritate your skin, you can try some corn starch lightly dusted on your skin...it'll keep it nice and dry. Make sure you're completely dry before putting your clothes on too. Also, try tanning, if you're white in those areas, the red spots will show up more.

Yes- the female tech said no problem with the brazialian style.. Ill keep you posted as to how much it hurts!!

hey Nicole, how about an update? My wife is planning on getting the full 'brazillian' laser removal too.

I am getting my back and shoulders done soon too. I get so irritated when I see a guy who has a full head of dark ass thick hair and not a stitch on his body. Whereas I am sasquatch.

I shave my head and have been doing so for years. I am actually considering getting the hair on the back of my head and above my ears lasered off because I have had so much trouble with ingrown hairs. I know that the occaisional cycle doesn't help matters either.

Any ladies here think that is a bad idea?

Well Ive had 2 treatments thus far! So far so good def less hair growth less razor bumps- and after I shave my kitty feels soooo soft..

Its been worth it so far my 3rd treatment is coming in November!

This may sound crazy but it works...try aloe vera gel with lidocaine in it...its used for sunburns...shave with that stuff on and see how it goes...
