My doc put me on test cyp injections two weeks ago for low testosterone. He wanted to put me on androgel but I thought it was too expensive. Anyway it's been 16 days, had two shots of testosterone already and don't feel anything. My libido is still low and I'm still having a hard time getting it up. My doc said that my levels should raise 24 to 48 hrs after injection, but it's been two weeks going on three and I don't feel a thing.

How long does it normally take for injections to work? Would I be better off with testim?

What dosage and at what frequency did the doc prescribe? Mine tried to put me on 200mg once every 2 weeks. It was only after my suggestion did he change it to once (100mg) a week. Took me quite some time to get any effects. I have also played with the dosage and I feel much better at 200mg/wk. I had to go back to 100mg for a few weeks because of my recent blood work (today) but pinned 200mg the minute I got home. It has only been a few months of testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) so I will see where my blood levels are and see if the doc will up the dosage.

My problem with the gel is this........ It is applied first thing in the morning and stayed gooey for over an hour. I have a wife and kids which meant I could not hug or come in contact with them until it dried. Lets not forget the smell!

Did he prescribe anything for estrogen or to keep you fertile if kids are an issue later I take Aromatase inhibitor (AI) with HCG and Clomid.

I'm on 150mg a week. No Aromatase inhibitor (AI) or hcg.

Why does the gel suck? It increases levels doesn't it?

For me it only worked for about 2 months and all negatives came back. Two it constantly sticks to your clothes. 3 even when I put it on in the morning took a shower before banging my girl that night she still got some contact and it messed with her body. Injections there is no doubt how much you get and only you get it. The Hcg and clomid keeps me busting nuts and I want kids in the future.

I'm going to ask for anastrazole to keep estrogen in control. Part of me is thinking that maybe 150mg wk is not enough. If thats not enough then what is? 200mg?

Still trying to find my sweet spot. I was convinced to up the test to 750mg/wk and I wish I wouldn't have. I've had problem after problem since. I've been experimenting now for 7 months to find what works best for me. Best protocol that I'm now going back to is 150mg test/wk divided doses, 25mg clomid daily or tamoxifen, .25 Arimidex 5 on 2 off, and 500icu's hcg 2x/wk. This protocol puts me at 877 TT 210 FT and 28.9 E2 feeling great with no dick issues.

I run about 300mg of a Test blend once per week.

It took around 4 or 5 weeks for me to feel any different. Just be patient is what everyone told me and so I will tell u the same thing!
