Reps on biceps??

cant get BIG said:
I usually do four exercises of 3 reps ???is this too much for biis? what do u recomend?
That is too little in my opinion reps wise bro.
Try three excercises.... 5 to 8 reps.Standing barbell curls
Preacher curls ....and isolation curls one arm cable curls.
My biceps respond to higher volume ....and less weight ...just my experience ...others have different opinions on this, I,m sure they will chime in.
Good luck

Yes, I agree with you guys. My bi's response better with more reps and lower weights. In the beginning I wouldn't believe it, using lower weights. But it works. I really would like to get the board's opinions on this"lower" weight subject

Each persons body responds differently. Try high reps, low reps, try anything. Just find what works best for your body and go with it.

i do a little bit of both. i like to fool my uscles as mucha s possible. to me its the only way to train. confuse the shit out of ur muscles and they will fucking grow. try to do one heavy set and one light one and so on and so on. manipulate the time between reps , the time of each movement ( negatives ) fuck with em as much as possible.

I do 8-12 reps for 4 different excercies. Barbell, Dumbell curls, DB Preacher curls and Hammer curls.

i do like 8-9 sets real fast...not the actual motion, but i only rest like 30-40 sec. in between sets...i get a crazy pump! i do DB curls 3 sets, seated curls 5 sets and hammer curls sometimes...

depends on the exercise for me... Standing barbell curls, i do a bit of high reps (8-10 reps), then i go heavy and try to get in around 4-6 reps. With anything like conentration curls or preachur curls, i usually go higher on the reps so i can feel more of a burn. Anything that add's more mass to the overall area of the muscle, i usually do heavy weights with low reps, but for exercises that cause Peak (like in the biceps), or "the cuts", then i do more reps with moderate weight. Just my 2 cents. Fuck i'm runnin outta cash with all these good tips.

Keep humping and keep pumping.

Mine seem to be responding well to
2 sets of ezbar curls.....reps til i cant lift it anymore
2 sets of straight bar curls....." "
3-4 sets of preacher curls....start low....keep adding weight til i cant lift anymore...
2-3 sets of isolated curls....""

I would first of all increase the reps, unless you are trying to do some Dorian Yates thing....but i usually do 4 sets of 8-10 reps, i find that works good for me, but i superset them with tricep workouts too, followed by forearms, and that helps my arms grow well, but i would just mix things up if i were you until i find something that works well. Once you find it, stick with it for a while.
