I am looking for advice on a couple things please :- exercises & supplements at 37yrs old?

And mainly IF and HOW long will it take for muscle memory and tendon and ligament strength take to return after a 3+ year lay off?

Usually within about 1 month I start to feel back in the game after a short time off. Never went as long as you off but gotta be around the same time frame.

I continue the prop all the way through the cycle as well.

Youll be back within a few months. Stick to machines for most of your work. For chest i do incline on smith, i use the hammer press machines, cable flies.

Back all machine pulldowns, rows, assist pullups, upright rows

Shoulders light presses, use variety of machines, shrugs with smith

Legs all machine, leg press, leg curls, lying down leg curls, seated calf raise

im 36 i beat the shit out of my joints thinking thats howyou grow but on hormones all that heavy weight is not needed. Go only as heavy as you can with good form wich im sure you know. I have quite a bit of vitamins minerals stuff i take to control bp. But youll look good in no time muscle memory is bad ass.....

Hey Steveo. I'm in a similar place. Resumed lifting last month after time off for injury and life getting in the way! I'm headed in for a test check with my doc (somewhat cool urologist). We'll see what he says.

But I'm going to use the other commenters general advice to you as well.

Thanks for the advice
Yeah i have a fairly good home gym in my shed and using a barbell for most exercises where possible. I am using proper form and keeping reps around the 6-10 range controlled. My joints are good only ever had problems with tendinitis in my shoulder but once I doing the L fly & reverse fly with bands, I never have any problems there!

Can anyone give advice/detail on my Qs please: IF and HOW long will it take for muscle memory and tendon and ligament strength take to return after a 3+ year lay off?

Im going to do my first cycle soon and im a bit paranoid about injuring my tendon and ligaments with the strength increase!
I am using proper form and keeping reps around the 6-10 range slow/controlled so im probably just being paranoid!

take it slow the first 4-6 weeks. im sure tendons will get stronger during this time of lifting.
i would rec for sups:
2g taurine ed
2-5g creatine ed
