Ronnie coleman vs dorian yates!

I like dorian yates better. I think Ronnie coleman got out of proportion and his stomach got way to distended. I think he was great but he got gross towards the end of his career

I agree dorian is awesome. Plus I think he was way more intense. He scares the shit out of me just watching his video's of when he is like 48 training people on bodybuilding.com...... He is just hard core. Like I feel like if I met him and made some kind of comment about how I wished I looked like him he would call me out on it and be like " why don't you" and just would rip me apart from training, to food, lol and never even have to mention steroids. And I would be to scared to. Lol I couldn't say oh well you had better stuff and took more. He's just not the type of guy that type of shit would fly with....

If you ask Ronnie coleman a question he would be like "yaa budday just eat lots of food and train heavy" and keep it to small talk. But dorian just does not beat around the bush and has no fears. I couldn't lie to the guy or bull shit him. Ronnie would let it slide but I know dorian doesn't give a fuck if he is politically correct or hurts some ones feelings. He has that out cast type of attitude when he sat with the rest of the Olympia's before to like he just wasn't part of the pact. Mentally he seemed very much above the rest of them.

Lol imagine him in his prime against today's line up. I don't think they would have a chance. I think the flaws in the others would be way to obvious. I mean dennis wolf does not have a back compared to dorian, phil's chest would look like a Chinese girl's and kai just would be to bulky in unaesthetic to have a chance. I think kevin levrone, dorian yates, and flex wheeler were the best ever. Honestly Ronnie coleman had a couple years of looking like one of the best ever. But he just fucked up and didn't even have proportion after a while. His legs didn't even look right, his stomach was horrible, he only had a great upper body.

Jay cutler in 2001 looked really good. But still nothing like some of the best ever. Nassar in 1997 when he got second to dorian at the mr Olympia was in impeccable shape to. He should have won that year. When he got dialed in he was mr Olympia material. He just couldn't keep his mouth shut and take shit from people that was his problem.

Haha, very good points. I agree, Dorian definitely shoots straight from the hip. He's a trip though if you ever hear him talking about conspiracy theories or using psychedelics. You and I definitely agree on some of the best bb'ers to ever see Olympia. Flex was a big source of inspiration when I was growing up as he was in his winning streak as I discovered my love for training.

I wish I had the link still, but Yates did a really good interview in the UK for a radio talk show that's like an hour long. He goes into cycles and makes some very strong points about AAS. I like how he compared AAS to fast food: In the 12 years of cycling, he never once had a health issue related to AAS - but the guy from "Supersize Me" was begged by his doctor to quit the diet of McDonald's after a few weeks! Good stuff. :D

That interview was fucking awesome!!! I was glued to him just listening!! Check it out dude

Lol I watched that video a long time ago.... It made me trip out and look at how much floride I was consuming. Lol what tripped me out was that im allergic to fluoride. So maybe that's why I see things so differently that the normal person. The calcium barrier is not around my pineal gland.

They're both great bodybuilders. I don't agree with some of the crazy conspiracy theories Yates advocates, but Yates from the 1996 German Grand Prix is amazing. Absolutely phenomenal.

I've never watched the O'Riley factor, so I can't say anything about him. I think some people are too hard on the guy though, granted he does say some dumb things at times. But at least him and Ludacris are cool now.

lol I almost posted that picture... but I decided not to be a dick head to poor Ronnie

Lol he was a great bodybuilder. He just got to the point where he got to big, his back was fucked up really bad, and all the food insulin and hgh distended his stomach. He went hard for a long time though. You gotta give him credit on that. He was practically not even human based on his physique and ability to work out and eat so much. He really was amazing. When it comes to the farthest a physique has ever been developed he wins. But when it comes to over all proportions which bodybuilding was suppose to be about. I would say its more between kevin levrone, shawn ray, flex wheeler, and dorian yates. Ronnie coleman was like a lab experiment on how big and shredded a human could ever get. What is insane to me is that. He never ever slacked he went 100% all out every day for 8 years straight. And that is more mentally insane than physically.

Just think about how mentally strong that man must have been to be able to withstand dieting and all the drugs and heavy work outs and no party life for 8 years.

When it comes to the most advanced muscular shredded physique ever he wins. But proportion wise he does not. Also imagine seeing him face to face when he was 298 shredded. Imagine how crazy that truly looked. Dorian pushed the limits and Ronnie pushed them to the absolute max but both those guys got injured. I don't think you can ever obtain a physique like theirs without powerlifting/bodybuilding they lifted insane amounts. Just to think about the strength of their tendons and bones is insane. I mean one out of a million people have durability like that and one out of a billion probably have the structure and mindset to make it all happen.

I agree..I've seen Yates at 257 back in 1993 and the competition was blown away.He always came in a little underweight as to show more cuts, drier down from 300,but it seems he came in 1996 around 270-277

Lee Labrada was Wide eyed and blinked hard when Yates walked on stage going Down the stairs with all the other bodybuilders looked on.Have it on 1993 Olympic VHS tape and the beginning on the introductions of the folks in the contest during the 1993 Olympic contest.Lee was standing near the walkway in the back when Yates passed him and man..priceless look Lee had.

Sadly I didn't watch bodybuilding after Yates reign...who the hell could be better?...Flex was close but he came in around 225 until I heard of some guy named Ronnie and was a cop.Flex should have won down the road but the role model bodybuilding was looking for wasn't Flex wheeler. Not to say that Ron wasn't a winner either and he worked hard to get where he was at and strong at that. But he had to weigh 290 to beat Flex Wheeler.1999 Olympic on youtube between Ron and Flex...Flex should have won and looked 260 to ron's 290...Flex always has a good physique, small elbows, large muscle bellies.Very talent time in bodybuilding.

Check out Yates ITB band on the side of his leg....it's caused by downhill walking and to get in his gym he had to walk downstairs! Alot too!

Lol yates had a odd body. It looked great I feel like his legs through off his symmetry a little bit. I think my favorite physique would have to be kevin levrone he really looked amazing. I just feel like the symmetry now days is fading away. Shawn rhoden, dexter Jackson and phill heat are about the only symmetrical guys left... Dennis wolf is a mix between a mass monster and a classic frame. I think kai greene will never be mr Olympia because off the grape fruit. Which is sad. But it is true possibly. I mean its just a bad image to have associated with bodybuilding. That is why victor didn't beat jay cutler because he was a convicted drug dealer. Flex wheeler use to be a cop to by the way if you guys didn't know that. Lol that's probably how he got all his juice to begin with. He raided a place and took all their shit. Lol who knows he might have just had the hook up from a confidential informant to though same with Ronnie.

I agree....he really really needs to bring up his calves muscles..I saw last year it was tiny calves on a good frame...and this year..its the same..it was a little bigger but not much to take the title.

Go hard Dennis or go Home!
