rookie diet help

Okay, I'm trying to start a diet to go along with hitting the weights again and I'm not quite sure what to or how much to eat. This morning I ate

1 cup of oatmeal
1 slice wheat toast with peanut butter
1/2 glass of skim milk
2 scoops of protein shake


Lunch:
5 oz chicken breast
2 cans tuna in water
8 oz glass of water

Meal 3:
5 oz chicken
1 cup of vegetables
8 oz water

Keep in mind I didn't wake up til late this morning so I'm where I should be on my mealsand I'm about to eat again in an hour. I just need to know if I'm getting the right amount of nutrients or if I'm even eating the right things.

Are you trying to bulk up or cut down?

Check out the bulking / cutting primer for anything.

But one thing that you should have more of is protein and carbs. I like the 1-2g of protein / body weight.

Also, just eat a lot more in general - try atleast 6-8small meals a day.
