Severe Lordotic Curvature and training

Hey Bros ive been diagonsed with a severe lordoti curve which is at the lower back lumbar region of the trunk. Lordosis is an exaggerated inward curve in the spine which is quite common and usually its a pain free condition but in my case due to the extreme exaggeration of the curve it cause me pinched nerves, sciatica, loss of ROM Just seeing if their is anyone who has suffered similar pain/problem and what exercises do u use and avoid as i like strength training but now im not sure if i can continue deadlifting/ squatting and recommendations would be great.

The best advice anybody can give you is to ask a doc what you can and cannot do in you specific case... it sounds serious.

I am sure there must be some things you can do.

But especially since your complaints involve nerves that are compressed I should really weigh the pro's and cons before you continue or consider squat and deads...

If something bad happens to that its pretty much a life altering thing...

spoke to my chiro today and he said i can gradully get back into squats :spin: but advised me that deadifts/goodmornings/wrestlersbridges shouldnt be dun in my case...would their be any alternatives to get similar benefits as his advice was geared more towards core movements than weightlifting i will be running any advice on exercise selection by him first as that was his request so any suggestions wud be great cheers.

very good you sought out medical advice...

Squats will train core...and thats good for overal strength. It will also aid in lowerback.
So don't worry about that too much.

Maybe you could do some isolation back extentions on a machine paired with some good abdominal training? Normally I am not a real fan of isolation but in your case that might just be a good alternative as it does focus on building core stability and mass.

thanks TPH that seems like the most logical thing to do so ill be smoothing my way back into a sum sorta routine damm i have to make some major changes  cheers mate
