SHBG Question - How to lower

methos

Is there a way to lower SHBG without using orals? I decreased my numbers significantly with danazol over 3 months but I think it's putting a burden on my kidneys. Dark urine, side pain etc. I am feeling great and getting closer to fine tuning my protocol, but I want to get away from the Dzol for a while. Thanks in advance.

Injectable Stanozolol (Winstrol) but I'm almost certain the FDA removed it from acceptable meds. I have some leftover that I use but it's hell on my good cholesterol levels.

why would you use somthing liver toxic?
even proviron would be better.
here is some info:
Because danazol is metabolized by the liver, it cannot be used by patients with liver disease, and in patients receiving long-term therapy, liver function must be monitored on a periodic basis. Some patients who use danazol experience weight gain and fluid retention. Due to these limitations, danazol is seldom prescribed continuously beyond six months.

Proviron (mesterolone)

injectable or not its liver toxic and very harsh on lipids, i would not use it for that.

I didn't realize proviron could serve the same purpose. Thanks for the heads-up.

Ohh yes, I'd say alot of its libido qualities are due to this.
and its not liver toxic like most other orals out there and can be used for months on end, no prob.

I love it while bulking or cutting.
or even added halfway into a LONG cycle to lower the rising SHBG and other binders like it.
I think thats where that "receptor saturation or tolerance" came from. nothing to do with receptors, you dont need more gear after a while due to receptors its more to do with build up of binding proteins from high amounts of aas.

I completely agree. I always wondered why people would take larger and larger cycles back in the day thinking the receptors down-regulate or whatever their rational was. I would always think of the pros that look like monters for decades and think otherwise.

I am curious what dosage of proviron would have the same SHBG lowering qualities as 25mg ED of Danazol?

Out of curiosity, what was your SHBG level prior to taking anything specifically to lower it and how much did Danazol help?

I was on Danazol for a few weeks and my SHBG dropped from about 24 to 16. I quit taking it in December and have not taken anything since to lower SHBG and my most recent level as of this week was 16.2.

Sorry TR90125, just noticed your post. My SHBG was 47.4 in Nov 2011 when starting my protocol. At the end of January it was 15.4. At this point I raised my Test amount in my protocol and got bloods 4 weeks later (end of Feb) and SHBG went up to 27.1. I have since lowered T back down. During this entire process I have been taking 25mg of danazol ED. I am going to switch to Proviron as soon as it's possible.
