Shoulder Surgery

Also, DreDay. I'm scheduled to give bood this Saturday. If i get bloodwork done tomorrow, do they take a significant amount. To be clear, would i still be good to go for a blood donation the next day?

Yes you'd be fine. They take a pint of blood for donation vs small glass vials for blood tests (how much depends on how many tests you're running). Follow through as planned with the donation. If here's a problem, which there won't be bc of the tests, they'll let you know there. Good job on the donation by the way lol. And Rippetoe is a genius when it comes to training. Form l, programming, teaching the lifts, etc he is one of the best in the world IMO. I'm planning on going to one of his starting strength seminars to learn how to teach and coach the lifts, have perfect form myself, use every mechanical advantage available to me, etc but they're ~$900 for the weekend seminars. I'm saving for it lol. Get his books starting strength and practical programming. You will no be disappointed I promise.

If suggest a 12hr fast IF you're concerned about the glucose reading which is included in the female hormone panel. If you already know your glucose levels by having them recently tested its not important to fast.

It all depends on the extent of your shoulder injury bro. I know myself if i try to go over 225 with a barbell my shoulder pops outta the socket. It doesnt sound like your shoulder is that bad but the dumbells should still help ease things for a bit

Are you taking a PA with the deca? Has nothing to do with the shoulder, but I didn't see it mentioned. What's your routine like? I usually do at least one 1/2 weight warm up set, and try to never lift anything I cannot do 10 reps with (failing at 9 is OK) Anything heavier and all my joints hurt

Yes forgot to mention. I'm using prami for prolactin. I'm using about twice a week. The drug interferes with my mood and sleeping pattern, but i hear it takes a bit to get used to.

I checked out rippetoe's instruction on proper pressing form BTW. He explains it so well. Definately worth the look. thx for that .

Yeah, my shoulder has felt pretty solid up until the last few days. I rep 315 comfortably, no pain. Anything higher, and i think i'm asking for trouble. Sucks too, because I'm dangerously close to 405 which has been a personal goal of mine. There's no way I'm going under the knife again. I think that would be the end of bodybuilding for me.

I see dumbells in my horizon. I think i'm also going to look into my form on all lifts and see if i can improve. Hopefully that'll turn things around.

I'll ask my brother for links to all his videos, apparently there's a site that has most or all of the training ones. Also practical programming isnt about form but you'll learn how to program your lifting progression for years and years to come. My 2 favorite weightlifting books period.

That'd be awesome. I'm currently reading Stuart McRobert's "Beyond Brawn." Pretty insightful book. I don't like the layout, however. Seems a bit unorganized.
