Im currectly having a few whey in water shakes throughout the day, I understand that whey in water is quickly absorbed by the body, does adding oatmeal and or some EFA's to the shake help slow down the absorption rate?

Thanks

mix it with whole milk, whey is from milk so it is logical if you want a higher fat content and slightly slower absorbtion mix it with whole milk.

lol why is that logical? you could mix it with olive oil, almonds, carbs, etc and it would slow the absorbtion, and none of those are from milk.

It is logical because if it is whey it should mix well with milk, not taste weird and milk is a reasonably priced source of protein.

true. but peanut or almond butter in whey tastes GREAT, and even olive oil doesnt change the taste noticeably. But yes, powder does taste better in milk than water.

But milk will increase insulin levels greatly.
