Hello all, I have been reading threads for quite some time and have decided to become a member to see if I can get some help. I hope some of you will read my story as I am a soon to be 47 year old male that has competed in bodybuilding comps back in 80"s and 90"s. I once competed at about 175 lbs for show weight and was about 215-215 off season weight when I would bulk up. I am 5 ft 6 inchs and over the years as of January 12 I found myself being at 275 lbs and was really discusted with myself. I had not worked out in years and decided to diet and to start working out as I know my body very well and just went for it. I was having some labido problems as well and came across some old friends that turned me on to some test which started working very well. I was and still am doing some really small dosages which is 200 mg a week and I split it into 100 mg every 4 days is what it is. This has really changed my life and I am back to my good old ways when it comes to my labido. I started dieting and working out slow, I didnt go all out and get stupid, I want my body to get used to it. The first thing I did was start dieting and about the end of Feb I started to work out. As of today I have lost 50 lbs and I am sitting at 225 lbs, but being only 5'6 I have a ways to go. My goal weight is 199 lbs in which I have not been under 200 lbs since the comp days around the mid 90's or so. I am really feeling good and although I am doing a low dose of the test it seems to be doing ok for me. My question to you guys is I have a cycle of Tren a friend gave me, had had purchased two bottles but half way through the first cycle he snapped on his woman and could not control him self and got off the cycle. I took it from him and I have a trip to maui comoing up in mid july. I thought if I could get my weight down and do this cycle I may be able to look pretty good. I figured if I stay on the test with the Tren it may help me not lose my sex drive? because I must say my wife has been in heaven since I have been on the test. Also I started this test in Mid January I believe and have not come off at all, is this bad? or is the dose so low it wouldnt make a difference. My apology for this long post and I hope I do not piss anybody off, but any comments would be appreciated. I thank you.

You should probably repost this in the steroid forum since it is cycle related. Although I must say don't you think Tren maybe a bit much for your first cycle in a long time? Any idea what your body fat % is? Oh & welcome to Ology. Also great job dropping the weight. Again you'll get more help in the steroid section. Good luck Bro!

I take 100mg test cyp e4d as well. But I had low T before starting. It sounds like may have low T as well. I would get tested to see what level you're at. If you're within normal ranges then I would think your dose would be fine. Also, you need blood tests to check other things like estrogen level, lipids, and liver functions.

As far as the tren, I have no idea. This is the testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) forum and I don't think tren is used for hormone replacement therapy. Personally I wouldn't touch the stuff, but that's just my personal opinion. I'm about the same age as you and I'm looking at the long term, not for a quick fix. You're obviously doing very well with your diet, exercise, and test shots, so I wouldn't screw with it.

Thank you for the response. Since I am new here I had no idea where this was going to post. You are correct, it can be heavy for first cycle back, I just figured if I went lite on it like maybe 100 a week it may work with the test a little. On the bodyfat I am not sure, I am sure at 225 it is still pretty high.

Thanks again

in response to the blood levels. Last I received bloodwork was in Dec 2011 and the blood work was all really good and normal, but the test levels were low, but as a doctor would say they were normal for my age which is bull. I am sorry but I can not remember where they were at but I remember checking online where normal levels were and mine were not extremely low but low enough and obviously the libido was not close to what it is today. It is very possible I did post to the correct thread on accident, My most important thing to me is my health and taking care of my wife, my body being in perfect shape is not, I just figured if I had the tren already and I can get a quick gain and get stronger out of it why not? but I have heard that it is some heavy stuff to take for some. Anyway I asked my dosctor to put me on some test to lift my levels, told her of my situation and she said I can use other alternatives and that was it. Being I was around the bodybuilding scene in the past, I made a few phone calls and got the test and pretty much think I am doing the minimum and man I am happy at this point. One last thing, how long can you stay on 200 mg of test a week for, can you stay on? or should you give it a rest after so long? I would like to se some info on this if possible. I want to also thank you for the congrats on my weight loss guys. I am determined to get under 200 and have 26 lbs to go to get there.

Thanks again guys.

Trt they say you can stay on forever. As long as nothing crazy is going on with lipids, ect. What you need to watch for is high estrogen. Since you are over weight you may have a higher conversion to estrogen. Most of us on Trt take an Aromatase inhibitor (AI) to combat the estrogen. Also most take Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG) as well to maintain the testicles. As for the Tren again from what I know It's some real potent stuff & if I were you I wouldn't mess with it.

From what I understand based on what you wrote, you are self administering your 'HRT.'

At 47 years old, and considering what you told us about your general health, you really need to consider working with a competent physician and not self administer your own black market HRT protocol.

First, guys like us in our forties need to have a complete blood profile to establish some baselines from which to work. Things like your hormone and lipid profile are very important in directing your HRT appropriately. Without those, you cannot assess any risk factors to which you may be subject.

Moreover, things like basic blood metrics included on a CBC such as hemocrit, RBC ect will also help direct your course of action.

So, the first thing I'd tell you to do is get with an MD who can support you in this process.

Next, at 47 you do not need to consider running a cycle - even if you believe it to be a 'light cycle' compared to what you did in your 20s. It is considerable different doing so for guys like us in our 40s than when we were in our 20s.

The stakes are much higher and the returns are far lower.

So, in the interest of your health, I suggest you consider the items mentioned above.

Agree with ^^^^. At 48 I look more for endurance..sets of 12-20..the heart is the main muscle to watch now my friend...overweight even more so..

Tren...not for you my friend. Those day s are behind you now.....

Teutonic - I"m curious to whether you take 200 mg Test & 150 mg Deca every week ? This sounds like a mini-cycle to me , not testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) . Or is it ? ~Bo~
