Sore after a week off?

Ripped-diculous
Took a week off to let a couple things heal and started back yesterday. Changed up my routine some, a couple exercises, sets and reps, weight. Anyways, fairly sore today and wondering if it's because of the week off or if the new routine is recruiting new muscle tissue. Anybody get sore after a week off or have any other thoughts?

DOMS dont mean shit for working your muscles. Its because you took a week off.

i agree that he is probably sore due to taking a week off but he did say that he changed up his routine a little, this could have also contributed some. it is a good idea to change up your workout occasionally to hit the muscle from different angles and i know that most of you guys say that DOMS doesn't mean shit, but i like to feel the soreness that way i am more confident that i had a good workout.

I doubt its the week off, personally 1 week off doenst change my body.

Its probably the routine change, specially if he has been long time on the old routine.

Other life related work might have a hand into this, too much sex/jerking, low quality food, normal life body work can all add to the sore fatgued feel.

old routine was 3 months old, diet is on point, very clean and unchanged, sex life is a little better, sex drive better, and job got less stressful because I quit and am now getting more sleep. The reason I asked the question is because it's mainly my chest that is sore, and in taking that week off I only missed 1 chest day. That's not really much of a layoff IMO.

it's due to rested muscles. don't worry about it. sure, the soreness feels good and gives u the 'pump'..but that's it.

heck, i 'd prefer my legs not being sore after leg work because it's annoying and i walk funny. rofl
