Soreness

ok so my normal routine is

Day 1 chest
Day 2 back
Day 3 legs
Day 4 shoulders
Day 5 arms
Day 6 off
Day 7 start over

This has been my normal routine for the past 2 years, yes i mix it up, i mix up my sets/reps etc etc.

I can usually tell when im over doing it and take maybe 3 or 4 days off. Never more than 4 days.

Took 2 weeks off, went on vacation and did absolutely nothing besides eating and drinking. I came back and started my routine all over again and im so damn sore (every single part of my body) that i cant sleep. everytime i move i wake myself up cause of soreness.

So my question is, Do i want to feel this sore all the time? AM i overtraining even though im seeing great results? or should i only want to experince the mild soreness that I used to get on my normal split?

Call me a masochist but as much pain as im in I absolutely love it. Dont think i could feel like this all year but damn.
 
If your seeing great results then just continue what you are doing. For me that would be to much, but I train very intense. I am not saying you don't it just I need a little bit more rest than that. The best I can do is 2 on 1 off. I notice I recover decent from this. So keep up the good work, if your gains are great then you must be doing something right!! People recover at different rates. Stretch alot, eat lots of clean protein and drink water. Sounds like your doing the right things anyway. Good luck!!
