SOS: 256#/26%BF (pics) + STUCK

Keep up the work brother.. You're doing good. Try not to weigh yourself every week. I measure my weight loss by how my clothes fit and the mirror. Also, don't forget to give yourself a week off after 8-12 weeks. Good luck..

I know you said you don't believe in any fat burning supplements, but I'll tell you this.
OxyElite Pro WORKS!!! I get shredded on that stuff, and I got 2 people who I train with to take it and they each have lost 15-20 lbs.
No I'm not a rep and I don't work for them, just read the reviews and you'll see for yourself.

Continued THANKS for your support all. TRULY appreciate it.

Passed the one month mark.

Diet: For the most part, want to stick to 2250 calories/day, and not binge on sweets or pasta. Drinking 1/2 to 1 gallon of water a day.
Gym: More focus & intensity on weights this week. Lots of PRs. Zero cardio in the last week, no interest in it.

Stats:

In one month:
--Lost 10.2 lbs (258.8 -> 248.6)
--Lost 2" from my waist (44 11/16 -> 42 12/16), and 3" from my gut.
--35.8%BF: exactly the same as last month. Maybe just my scale? Whatever.

Congrats on the 10 lb loss! You'll be in the 230's next month!

Keep it up and keep us posted on progress.

Dear Roiders:

Ultimate physique goal: 250-ish pounds, 22% bodyfat. Not into the lean look, I want the mega-strong look.

Summary from last 28-ish weeks:

Before: 258 lbs, 35.9% bodyfat.
Current: 222 lbs, 28.5% bodyfat.

Gut: lost 8 inches (now 39.5 inches)
Waist: lost 5 inches (now 39.75 inches)
Biceps: lost 1 inch (now 16 inches rested=sucks).

Average intake, every day of the week:

1850 calories (40% carbs, 40% protein, 20% fat)

--Carbs: sweet potatoes, chick peas
--Protein: 1 scoop of whey, tuna, chicken breast
--Fats: natty peanut butter, tahini, olive oil, egg yolk

No: alcohol, sugar, grains except for steel-cut oatmeal.

Cheat meal:
--Once a week. Maybe Indian buffet, huge burrito, and/or going out drinking. Limited to a 3 hour period.
--Recent trend: Only 1 cheat meal this month + no alcohol. Terrified about possible lack of progress.

Workout:
--Lighter lifting overall, 3-4 days a week. Energy level low, not a lot of gumption, not lifting anything heavier than in past.
--Bike commute: 16 miles 3 days a week, a lot of other riding for errands.

Questions+comments, would appreciate feedback:

1. I'm feeling kind of stuck/aimless/failed. Is continuing to lose 1 pound a week progress? According to various sites I should be taking in 2664 calories on low days, 3330 on high days (link below). Is that a goddamn joke? It was extremely difficult to take this weight off, won't I just get fat again? Or, is my metabolism slowed from being on too low of calories for so long? Opinions?
2. Energy level: not high. I'm mostly sluggish. Perhaps b/c I bike to the gym and am gassed after 16 miles. Perhaps not enough calories overall. Perhaps no protein drink before working out. Honestly, I don't know. Opinions?

In summary: I have a specific physique goal in mind, but I don't feel like I'm working towards my goal. I don't feel like I can vary my diet without getting fucking fat again, but I don't feel like I'm on the right path.

Fear follows me constantly about slipping up and getting as fat as I was.

Comments?

THANKS TREMENDOUSLY ALL.

Damn, was really hoping to get some advice from you all after all these months.

DARN.

I'd recommend getting w/ 3J bro... I'm ramping up a diet plan with him now which will allow me to bulk mucle and lean out the fat @ the same time. Then will get me on a maintenance program to keep it that way and I have something to go back to if i slip up.

His prices aren't bad man

For me personally I have the best luck when I either concentrate really hard on all my meals, or just eat normally and do alot more cardio. If I eat basically chicken and potatoes and like oatmeal and bread, steaks, and do some cardio, the fat comes right off. Its hard for me to start though. Im like you in the sense that I gain muscle and fat very easily. Ive been trying to get bigger, but I get fat too from overeating, because its low stress when I eat alot. Then I have to go lose it again. Im doing one more bulk, then going to try hard to lose fat and maintain muscle myself. I was always bigger so being fat doesnt really hurt my ego, Im not superficial or sensitive. Although being 20 pounds heavier than I am in my pic, with 110 pounds less muscle is no fun. The main benefit to more muscle imo is that you can eat alot more. When I was first trying to lose weight I could get fat on 2k calories. Now I lift and am bigger, I need to eat 4-5k calories to even start putting on fat... to the point I cant even really afford the food.

try this until you speak with 3j:
try cardio early morning on a empty stomach no longer than a hour but no less than 30 mins 5 days a week...maybe split it up ... try taking a pre workout like jacked...cardio should put you on the right path

Thanks man, I can only HOPE this will be the case that I burn more calories and keep the fat off. Good luck with all you do.

Funny you posted this... as of two weeks ago, I started 30 minutes of jogging first thing in the morning, five days a week. Def on an empty stomach.

I hate it! But it not only works, I feel way goddamn mentally better all day at work.
