OMFG--so ive been going to my gym for over a year now..i like to lift when its rather empty to avoid the usual negativity that surrounds a powerlifter in a commercial gym..I am respectful of the equipment as well as the poepl around me..i am not loud i put ALL my weights away and clean up ALL my chalk..If someone asks me for advice i am glad to give it or show them how to do something.Like most you begin to see the same people around the same time, so i offer a friendly hello and for some others i engage in small chit chat but mainly i am there to do my thing..So with that theres this female there who is for the most part attractive however apparently she is the local whore and is really only there for the cawk..Not knowing this i always said a hello to her or smiled..just being nice i was inlvovled with someone and didnt want any part of someone else..this is going back well over 6 months..fast forward to this week..im benching in my metal shirt happens to be at nite when the gym is more crowded but i was getting help from a friend..anyway apparently this skank was "offended" that my back was open??? wtf??? shes not afraid to take cawk in every orifice yet shes offended by my back..so i get a speech today from the gym manager-I AM NOT ALLOWED TO WEAR the bench shirt anymore..i get the final word on monday-but i may be in the market for a new gym :rolleyes:
 
not allowed to wear a bench shirt at a gym....Find a new gym and tell that stupid manager to refund all your money.

These comercialized gyms suck! I hate the techno musice they play and the excessive curling and decline bench and flys that are done.


They should do away with these gyms and just open up basements with dim lighting and not many windwos and with just a power rack etc and loads and laods of weights.

thnks man- i got the "family fitness" spiel because thats what attracts money speech..which is fine but the name 'world gym" would need to be changed

sheeet there are a few guys that come to the gym lietrally reeking of cologne its really horrid..id almost rather smell sweat lol
 
wear a wifebeater under it, most of the guys i train with do. I personally walk around shirtless, i could give a fuck. The gym owner was laughing at me a few weeks ago and told me to cover up i was scaring the other members, but this is the guy who bought a monolift because Joel asked.
 
If you live in a decent sized town you should be able to find a real gym, some of the best gyms don't advertise so you may have to ask around.

That's some bullshite BB. But i totally understand.

Madine and I work at a local Gold's in town and when it was the only one, some of us guys who were actually there to train would get some flack about certain things. Luckily the owner is a puss, and we basically said, if you don't have the shit we need, we can't lift how you want, and we're all gonna split!!!

So he started bying stuff that appeased us but kept his gym nice and tidy (mats on the floor, etc). Recently bought a monolift at one of the three gyms more known for the PLers, and so on.

I agree with PB. Tell him to fuck off, punch that bitch in the side of her throat, and find you a good gym...

Ridiculous.
