squat video

I like 20 reps on my squats but I'm an athlete and I explode through the top, bar speed is the goal. Just all depend on your goals of what you are doing, if you aren't a BB or PL no need to be strict at all. I have bad knees to begin with, but I probably on hit parallel on occasion just by dumb luck. still have 30 inch legs (mid thigh) and I got speed. So just for all the other guys out there don't worry so much just lift and reach your goals.

I don't think height is an excuse for not going parallel. No disrespect but I'm the same height and squat below parallel.

I agree for some athletes training your way is great. But the people who squat deeper with perfect form will always be bigger/stronger than the guys training like you do. So if muscle mass and/or strength is your goal then keep your shit as tight as possible IMO

I never said it was my height bro. 5 knee surgeries, no cartilage in my right knee.

I use to squat to calfs in HS and agree its good, but not nessary to see gains or reach goals.

Do you feel like squatting low contributed to your knee injury(s)?

nope, not really. but I was also a catcher for 12 years as well. Most of my injuries were just weird things that happend while playing sports, just had weak cartilage in my knee that tore easy or just the constant trama, I'm not sure. Now its just to much pain to get low, plus it'll swell like a mother.
