My dads a farmer so I get lots of prime cut steak and eggs for free...generally I'll eat 10-12 steaks a week, with 4 poached eggs on each steak...is there anything wrong with this or should I try and cut back ?

Nothing seems to hit the spot like steaks and eggs so if poss I would like to try and keep this diet going :D

nothing wrong with it, if you are active and you get enough fresh vegetables throughout the week.

I eat 500 gr of steak everyday. Nothing wrong. Beef is an excellent source of protein. If it's extralean, better.

A sub shop down the street from me makes a nice Steak and Egg sub. Take a steak and cheese and then line it with 3 scrambled eggs. Add some veggies and I am in heaven.

About 2 hours later I stink up the damn house.

husky I was wondering whats the major importance of vegetables? Im mainly a meat and potatoes kind of guy hardly getting any vegatbles. I figured you can get the vitamins and minerals of vegatables from vitamins alone, but you cant substitue protein.

I used to be a meat and potatos man for 2years... vegi's are pointless bla bla bla

I can't comment on whether all vits obtained from supps could replace vegitables but since adding vegis to my diet I have felt a million times healthier, digestion seems improved, I seem a lot less dihydrated and since vegis have very low calories the impact on cal intake is barely noticable..plus due to the extra ruffidge it may even aid fat loss.

Vegis all teh way for me :D

vegetables have most of the vitamins and minerals you need, and they provide the fiber that can regulate your digestion. All of that protein is hard to digest without fiber, vitamins and minerals-fresh vegetables provide a lot of that and are low on the glycemic index-so they do not give you a sugar spike like starches and high carb foods do. Stick with fresh vegetables over frozen, frozen is better than canned and most canned are worthless.
