Steak vs chicken for bulk results

Hey guys. I know that chicken is better lean than steak. My question, i already eat 2 pounds of chicken a day and my protein is 1.25g per lb of body weight. I throw in 1 pound of steak for dinner for the extra red meat, protein and fats. I already get 75 grams of fat split through the day from nuts and so on. I started my cycle yesterday and my main goal is as much lean muscle as possible while trying my as* off to help shred my stomach even a little. Should i add an extra 2 pounds of chicken throughout the day instead of my steak? Id say the steak puts me to about 150 fat grams ED. I know its my bad for not figuring this out before hand, but idk which to choose. The calories from the steak is roughly 1,000-1,200 depending on the amount of fats in the 1lb steak. What do you guys prefer? Ive also added a protein shake and bcaa shakes. Idk if that helps

Why would you think that chicken is better than steak? Why would either one be better than the other? Your question is not answerable bc not enough information has been given as in your stats, your goals, your TDEE, your current daily intake, Etc.

Agree with dre, ostensibly though if you are shredding it could be worth leaning toward poultry instead of higher fat meats (like steak). It though depends on your diet breakdown, gym routine (kcal expenditure) etc, meaning it is not so easy to answer.

Ok. Thanks guys. My stats are
190lbs
15% bf
6 ft 1
Construction for work (sometimes physical but more cardio than anything)
1 hr a day of resistance trainin or power lifting for about 5 days
Been lifting hard for about 5 years. I would like to cut a little, but adding some lean size is my main goal here.

Does this help? Im just not sure if all those fats are to much for a cycle to handle. Dont want to put fat on, if at all possible

Mmmmm....chicken....made margarita chicken last night with enough to last next 2 days. Like Enzo, i prefer chicken with an occasional steak here and there, and get my fats elsewhere...

So u guys think i may end up adding a bit fat with all the steak? For the price, ive been debating on either eattin 1lb of steak or 2 lbs of chicken. But ill throw in some more chicken. Thanks guys

It all depends on calories in vs calories out. Your TDEE is how many calories you expend in a day on average. Eat more than this number to bulk, gain muscle, and gain some fat. Eat less than this to cut, lose fat, and hopefully maintain muscle mass.

On the whole, chicken tends to be leaner than beef. But there are means cuts of meat such as sirloin, London broil, top round, 95%% lean ground beef etc. these are obviously less fat/calorie filled than prime rib, ribeye, porterhouse, filet mignon, etc. if your like to eat more beef/steak and keep. Zloties the same, I suggest cutting out some carbs or fats from other meals. I love both no men and steak so I eat both regularly. I wouldn't give up my steak for anything but that's me.

I only choose chicken over cow due to price - I can eat a whole bag of chicken for about 7 bucks, which is like 21oz of chicken.

dre has given some good points.. ill add to it a bit

what comes into play is macro timing.. and the digestion rate of different proteins.. chicken will digest much faster than steak..

keep your steak to dinner.. you can pull from chicken, poultry, and fish throughout the day..

dont get me wrong.. a very lean cut like top round a.k.a london broil can be eaten in the day

Don't forget the fish.
I've got an entire freezer full of Bluefin tuna and yellowtail. Too bad there my least favorite to eat...
