Q: Recently I overheard a discussion in my gym between a couple of juicers. They were arguing about which steroids make your muscles the "hardest." One said Winstrol (winny) and the other said Halo. My question is, what the hell do they mean by "hard" muscles? Is this some sort of juicer myth?
A: When a steroid user refers to "hardness," he's typically talking about a drug that'll help to decrease fat mass and increase muscle mass while not producing much, if any, extracellular water retention.
Those two compounds mentioned, fluoxymesterone (Stenox, Halotestin) and stanozolol (Winstrol), can reduce body fat and increase muscle mass, an inherent property of all androgens. Neither aromatizes to estrogen so that also allows for very little water retention and thus these two compounds fit the category so often referred to as "hardening" agents.
