As many know I started testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) a few months back initially on gels and more recently on Nebido 1000 mg injections.
4.5 weeks after my 1st injection I asked for a blood test due to feeling symptoms, got told by dr in that appointment my symptoms are pyschological. the test came back as 8.7 nmol - scale 9.0-29.0.
Due to it being xmas period I could not get back in to see a Dr for another 3 weeks after that and by that time I was extremely tired/fatigued. I was told I could have another Injection now, while he arranged an appointment for me to see an endo.
So I had the 2nd shot of Nebido on 9/01/2012 - 10 days ago.
Initially I felt like I was getting more awake as each day passed for a period of about 3-4 days, at the same time other symptoms were also improving including sexual symptoms I get like premature ejaculation/no morning wood. Then nothing I havent felt good now for the last few days, back to feeling tired/dizzy/drunk/less errections/havent felt like having sex in days/strength disappeared quickly after 2 sets at the gym.
Brings me to today, I got myself out of bed to call the Drs at 8am - or I wouldnt have got in to see anyone.
I picked the Dr who said I could get another Injection only 2 weeks ago who on that occasion had said my level was low, while also openly admiting he didnt know much about the subject.
so I walked up to this appointment which was 9:50am like a round trip of 6 miles there and back. Sat in the waiting room until 10:25 - 35 mins after my appointment was due then I got the call...
I started to explain that I wasnt feeling great and about my symptoms....the Dr answered with he dont think its testosterone related..."my symptome are due to anxiety/stress" "I have plenty of Testosterone in my body" "my levels were within range before" "Me feeling better upon starting a treatment is a placebo effect" I asked him directly for a blood test for Total Testosterone..."blood tests cost money" he refused and told me to wait until I see this Endo - which is 9 weeks time.
Im here thinking did the Dr get a personality transplant in the last 2 weeks, he seemed to totally contradict everything he said last time while also losing his bed side manner...
To be honest I dunno if I should laugh or cry or get angry.
Seems he is quite willing to inject me with 1000mg but not even test to see if it actually works just test me around 10 weeks or stick me with another without any test to see where my levels are...
