Swimming as cardio?

bro swimming is fenominal cardio and from your saying, your deff doing enough. Most of the bigger guys only do 30 -45 min on a bike or stair stepper. your swimming is perfect brother.

swimming is cardio and believe it or not, you also sweat. But of course since you're in water...it's impossible to know..I'd say interchange swimming with running..won't hurt

I was on the swim team in HS. It is awsome cardio. Will build muscle etc. I was a sprinter so there was alot of explosive trasining in my regimen.

An easy way to look at swimming is that 9 out of ten guys can't sprint 100 yards in pool but how many average athletic guys can run 100yards? Lots if not most.

Keep it up man.

yes, swimming is great cardio you tone up very well too. you can also target muscle groups i.e laps where you just use a kick board or where your just puling with your arms
great stuff

Do you do 3 one hour swimming sessions every week in addition to serious weight training? That's a lot. It might increase your risks of overtraining your shoulders or even shoulder injury.
