T dose, duration, and progress.

I know there was a thread awhile back that asked what dose of T people were on, and it seemed to get some good information. I'm wondering the dose, the duration (how long you've been/were on), and the progress you made or are still making. I'm only wondering because of the differences I've been noticing this time around TRT. The first time I had low T for about a year, and my receptors were testosterone starved. I gained about 40 pounds on Androgel (yes transdermal) and just felt amazing. My total test got up to 1,200 and my free T was soaring.

This lasted for a year and then I noticed a decent drop in libido, tone, and mass. I figured the gel had just stopped working and I'd try something new. Doctor switched me to androgel 1.62% for a few months, no changes or improvements. He put me on Testim for another few months and still no improvement. In March I started Test cyp shots 60 mg a week (crazy I know). I stayed on 60 a week for about three months, and finally went to another Doc who put me on 200 a week. Its been a little under 5 weeks and I've noticed only a few changes. For the past nine months I have been putting this off as just the gels not absorbing and the test cyp being too low of a dose.

Now with my total test levels up above 1,300, and my dose hugely increased the question is does the test cyp need more time for the effects to be noticed, OR did that entire year of cruising around 1,200 ng/dL clog my receptors to the point where they just won't respond to the same amount anymore? Then there's the question of if that's even possible. I mean plenty of guys probably run a natural testosterone of like 900 or so, and you don't see them having to come off of being natural, that's just crazy. I guess I'm wondering what's going on here, and by looking at people's doses and progress over the duration I can tell if its a receptor issue or not.

Thanks in advance.
