Teen seeking information on steroids

I am currently 18. Turning 19 next month. I have been training on and off for 2 years. Have pretty good knowledge about working out, proper training and nutrition. Recently I started taking working out very seriously and I am looking for knowledge on steroids to decide weather they are worth taking. When they are worth taking. How to take them. Preventing side effects ect... Now before everyone here gets mad and starts saying dont take them because you are too young without providing a reason, please don't. I am simply asking for information. Weather I use them or not is up to me. I will really consider not using them if some of you did take them while young and tell me about your side effects. I am 6 foot tall, 150 pounds, skinny but not very shredded. Now my questions are: (Please do not speak in acronyms and say the full names of the drugs because I will not be able to know what you are talking about)
I have heard there are different kinds out there, what is the difference between them. Which ones would you recomend for someone with my body type?
I have heard injections are worse than oral. Why so?
How to properly take them?
How to inject them?
How to avoid side effects?
How to keep muscle gains after going off cycle?
People take pills to prevent side effects. What can you tell me about those?
Any other information would be welcome

I am doing my own research, this is part of it. And people just saying lol... and not giving any sorts of info at all are not helping with my research

Good then if you had done some research before you just started posting that NO ONE on this board or the 1000 other ones would ever give a kid any advice on steroid use.. Especially common sense shit like " I have heard injections are worse than oral. Why so?" You haven't even began to unlock your bodies potential. Just stop now brother. We have all had this argument on this board 100x. Please don't come on here with an attitude either...It wont end very well for you...

Every single one of your questions can be answered with a day of reading the stickies on this very site with the exception of your primary one, which would require a bit of the search function. Even though you seem to be coming off as you're going to do AAS regardless of what we say, I hope you take what is said to heart. So with that said, let me break this down for you to the best of my ability:

1) You're 18 and still have TONS of nature's AAS flowing (Anabolic/Androgenic Steroids) in your blood stream. This is really a great time to capitalize on such a fact and use this to your advantage. You will be able to put on muscle mass faster than at any other time in your life as well as see less recovery times needed. This is provided you are eating properly, which I will cover later.

2) At your age, your endocrine system is still developing. This means you are still growing in height (not necessarily measurable) and starting to obtain greater bone density. Your brain is still developing in its ability to perform critical thought processes and finalize your ability to make quick decisions based on your ability to discern right from wrong. This may seem somewhat trivial, but excessive risk taking due to this ability being impaired can easily put one in the grave at an early age. It's no coincidence that young guys jumping on AAS are more cocky and take greater risks to their well-being. As these systems are being finalized well into your early 20's, any disruption by adding in additional hormones can upset their delicate balance forever - changing who YOU are forever.

3) You're 6' and 150lbs. You state that you have proper training and nutrition, but let's face it: You could be doing MUCH better as you have a great deal of potential left naturally. I would wager that you could easily put on another 30-50lbs of muscle mass with a proper diet and training regimen over the course of the next few years. Applying AAS to this would expedite this growth, but at the cost of tendon/ligament growth as these are NOT built up by AAS. This will very likely result in injuries later down the road which will set you back considerably and will impact your quality of life for the rest of your days. I know this from experience as I have two horribly blown knees and a rotator cuff injury that keeps me from enjoying some facets of life.

4) You need to ask yourself WHY you want to look into AAS. Do you plan on seriously competing in bodybuilding in the future? Do you just want to look "swole" for the ladies? Do you have a certain body in mind that you will not be happy with until you achieve it? (The last one can be viewed as dysmorphia, a disorder similar to anorexia btw) Once you know the answer to this question, you then have to ask yourself the question if the risks are worth this outcome. Do you know what testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) (testosterone replacement therapy) is? This is a potential outcome regardless of how careful you are in that you could potentially shut down your testicles FOREVER, requiring you to inject testosterone for the rest of your life as your body has permanently given up on making this crucial hormone. Along with this comes the inability (or reduced ability) to have children. Are you ready to give up on this ability at 18? Think carefully about your answers and be truthful with yourself as this isn't something you can undo once you've started down this path.

Now to the questions that you can find in the stickies, so I'll just give you the short-versions as this information is readily available in them in far greater depth.

1) Injections are not worse than orals. They both carry inherent risks and orals include liver toxicity while injections do not.
2) I'll leave this to further study once you've gone through the first portion of my post and given it thought.
3) See #2.
4) You cannot avoid all side effects. Male pattern baldness for instance is something you will either experience or won't. Some side effects can be relatively negated with the use of other drugs, but even those drugs carry potential side effects.
5) You will always lose *some* of your gains, mostly in the form of water - but a proper post cycle therapy (pct) (post cycle therapy) can reduce this atrophy by returning your body to it's natural state faster. Most gains are lost by guys that do not follow a proper post cycle therapy (pct) and remain in a low testosterone state for an extended period. Without testosterone to facilitate the synthesis of protein into muscle mass, your body will deem that the muscle gained is no longer beneficial and will consume it for energy. This is also where diet is very important as muscle is fuel, and if you do not consume enough calories with the proper macronutrients, you risk this catabolization of muscle mass.
6) I'll leave this to the sticky about SERMS/AI's. (Selective-Estrogen Receptor Modulator/Aromatase Inhibitor)

I hope this answers your questions and even gives you food for thought. Remember, AAS is not a decision to be taken lightly, especially at your age when you are still developing and have your life ahead of you. Making a poor decision now can haunt you for the rest of your life, remember that.

I am posting to ask for information. What is so bad about asking for information?
It's not that asking for information is frowned upon, it's the manner in which you did as well as the fact that 95% of what you asked has been typed over and over as well as being in the stickies. Some guys get irritated by the fact that many people just want to be told what to do instead of trying to read up on these things first, then asking any remaining questions. ;)

Thanks a lot. That is the type of answer I was looking for
You're welcome. I hope you give it a lot of thought before you make a decision. :)

Thanks for your input on my post. I am taking what you said into consideration. However I am not sure if you have heard of a guy called jeff seid, who is my age and Im almost positive he is using steroids and he does not seem to show any serious side effects from what I know. Furthermore I am planning on going on only one 12 week cycle of test and stopping afterwards. Do the same side effects still apply to the same extent?

If Jeff Seid is natural, I'll eat my hat. You can't always visibly see the damage done by AAS and he will be paying for his use later in life. You also have to take into consideration that genetics play a HUGE role in what AAS does for you. I know some fellas that are HUGE, but they still do not look anything like Dorian Yates or Arnold Schwarzenegger by any stretch of the imagination due to inferior genetics. Nobody can tell you if your first cycle can cause damage or if it's your 20th - you roll those dice every time. Is this a gamble you're willing to take when you only have a couple short years left before you no longer risk as much?

I still say you can achieve a great deal naturally with proper diet and training. Steroids are not a magical shortcut that will transform you into a monster of a human specimen. In fact, you will have to work HARDER when on AAS, otherwise you're just making expensive urine. ;)

hey man me and storm have been wanting to do this together and based on what i just read about the side effects you listed dont seem to bother me much. after 1/2 cycles with the proper post cycle therapy (pct) im sure our bodies can get back to its natural state as we are healthy. Plus if we were to get blooded tested regularly say every 2-3 weeks we could spot side effects occurring
.

ok...i was rushing and what i just typed makes no sense :insane2: ....basically what im trying to say/ask is, after going on 1-2 cycles and doing a proper post cycle therapy (pct) will our bodies get back to its natural state (hormone wise)? Also you said about bone development, would me going on AAS stop my bone development completely? and finally if i did blood test every 2-3 weeks this would allow me to notice any harmful changes occurring.... so i dont think one cycle would hurt me to badly??

So you don't care if you permanently stunt your growth, shut off your nuts, end up with a dick that doesn't work, and cause permanent damage to your joints/ligaments/tendons? The choice is yours friend, but five years goes by pretty quickly and the end result of working your ass off in the gym by the time you're 23 to be ready for AAS is far better than if you were in a hurry.

Honestly, your decision doesn't affect me in the slightest, but I would hope that you at least know what you're getting into before you stick that needle into your ass. Telling me that you're sure you can return to your natural state when there are thread after thread of young guys on here that messed themselves up after ONE cycle tells me you have homework to do too. You only have one body for your entire life, you should treat it with respect and it will take care of you in return.

Either way, good luck and be safe. :)
