Telling friends and family

But if y'all want people to be informed about steroids, to know the actual truth about them. Why not tell them? To prove them wrong and show them steroids aren't what they think, to educate them about the subject. I'm not saying to flaunt it and show off that you've used (or even say you've used), but don't you think that if we were to start at least informing (not telling) people about the subject then they would be intrigued and do a little digging for themselves? Because knowledge is power and I think one of the huge reasons people look down on steroid use is yes obviously media but I think it might also have to do with the fact that we hide it, keep it from so many people. Why hide something that you feel so strongly about? Maybe not go right into yelling I use steroids but talk to them first find out their opinions feel 'em out, then slowly start telling them more and more over time until you're comfortable with telling them. Just a thought, any opinions?

ill tell basically anyone who asks... never a kid or a complete stranger. but my gym buddies close friends and family all know. i dont have a problem with people knowing... if they dont like it then they can go fuck themselves, it really makes no difference to me. i use gear and if i didnt id still look better than 90% of the guys who hate on it haha

Stay safe :/

Like every1 said; most people are uneducated on this topic, even if you show them studies or unediable proof that its safe, they still wont believe you and keep their ''brainwashed'' opinion on the subject. Personally, there's only 1 guy that knows, and he's my training partner; we run same cycle at the same time.

I guess what I'm saying is maybe inform them? I was at one time brainwashed as I'd imagine many of y'all were. But someone told you or someone sparked your interest to go look and dig a little bit, to find out what it was all about. The only reason I was "brainwashed" was because everyone kept it from me, no one informed me (but the media and my school(awful sources obviously)). Yes there are those people that are unrelenting in their opinions against gear, so be it. Don't focus your attention on them then. The reason most people are uneducated on the subject is because people (even users like most above) deny it, they frown upon even asking about it. Of course the public eye is going to frown upon something it's own user wont even admit to (to most people anyway). Roids is such a touchy subject I think because part of the problem lies with us. People are ill informed because we don't tell anyone. Knowledge is power and we're keeping all the power to ourselves. At least with pot heads they admit it (considerable amount of them do) and are trying to legalize it. The public eye looked down on them for so long and now they're making headway in legalizing it because states can see how much tax it'll be worth and realizing if we allow cigs why not allow this? I'm by no means a pot head, nor do I agree with either item. But I don't think the national government has the right to tell me whether I can or can not smoke, or whether I can or cannot juice. I'm a states rights kind of guy. The less power the National Government has the happier I am (I'm from Texas what do you expect?). The more open people are, the more open others opinions will be (unless they're an opinionated asshole, then you're screwed)....

I understand your point, and yes like you said, I was brainwashed before. I looked into it by myself, I believe that everyone who train will at some point try to see what are roids. You can tell people, I mean I wouldn't mind telling some folks that I know would be cool with it. However I don't see the point of telling any1 else; it makes useless drama. People talk a lot about others.. Anyway, they should legalise it. They should legalize everything, every drugs. When you think about it, how can a group of people (government) can decide if you have the right to or not to smoke, wear a seatbelt, put a helmet while riding a motorcycle. You can only harm yourself doing this, its no1's business. I will never understand the world I am born in.

Delicate subject...lot of good thoughts above. I personally, wouldn't deny it blatantly if asked, but wouldn't make it be known. There's only so much blame you can put on creatine and dieting I especially if you're bulking.

It's interesting to hear this US perspective on Steroids, it's amazing just how well the powers that be have instilled fear into the general populous by just mentioning the word, reminds me of the whole ' reefer madness' days. I can say without a doubt that everyone is going to have a very different set of family and friends and even reasons for wanting to divulge the fact that your on AAS. All you can do is look at the pros and cons of talking about it.

Its fucked up, ive been accused of it for years and years. But im still all natty. It caused a massive fight at Christmas last year (fun right), i train like a mad man at least 5 days a week and my lazy clown uncle had the nerve to try and convince my mom and grandma that i was only big because i MUST be "on" to be 6'4" 264lbs.

I hate that a little bit of gear instantly throws away everyone's hard work, like someone said above, you can train hard every day, measure every bite of food that goes in your mouth, and the second you admit to being on gear, or are accused of being on gear, people totally forget the training and diet part. It kind of makes me have the "if im accused of it i might as well be on" mentality.

oh, and if i cycle the only people i will tell is my gf (she will be helping me, and we have been together 11 years) and my best friend, who will know even if i don't tell him. Thats it. No one else will understand. Im just glad my body has changed so much since i started at work and they all see me eat all day so i don't think they will notice.

First year is easy to keep it a secret but once your 50 or 60 lbs heavier and walking round in nothing but shorts and tanning oil in summer' they get the picture...
I used to say I'm not against steroids and I might use one day but I'm not ready yet..!
Then after a while people don't ask anymore.
I told my gf from day one and shes ok about it at first i said it was just fat burners to break her in gently but then I let her know' now shes happy i have my own cupboard for all my stuff .. :-)

I can only imagine...I'm nowhere near that big, but people have accused me of being on because I worked my ass off and gained about 30 pounds of muscle in a year.

If my family ask, yes I will tell them. As Die$el said, if they can't tell, then they are retarded, and my family is not retarded. However, I don't think my grandparents or extended family need to know about these kind of things. Luckily my close family knows how to shut their mouths. I told my best friend because it was bluntly obvious and he asked, but besides that I don't tell anyone else because I'm pretty anti-social and don't talk to anyone else.

Just curious how do u get the things then if you don't talk to anyone? Also hell no don't tell anyone. I've regretted telling people far less serious things.

The general public is so misinformed and so ignorant mainly due to being spoon fed by the mass media, that it would be most wise to keep it to yourself. I think the younger generation (my generation) understands much more that it's really not that bad. But the older generations watch too much tv and new programs that they are too dumb to think for themselves.

keep it to yourself. If people in the gym ask me I say "steroids are dumb and make your weiner smaller"

Op r fuckin stupid !! And r haters. Don't tell anyone. I got on testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) 400 mg a month. Literally nothin. Trained like a mad man for 6 months. And looked pretty good. I told an older man at the gym who was bitchin bout bn tired all the time to get his test checked. That it helped me. 6 months later my level was up from 112 to 315( still really low ) , tellin someone how I got in shape with lots of cardio and training like crazy op walks up and says yea but everyone's not willin to stick a needle in them to

Well ever since my wife found my stash I keep her in the loop. She doesn't condone it but tolerates it. Over time she said she will try to learn about it. Gotta say it is much easier not having to sneak around trying to pin on schedule.

Other than the wife only a really close family friend knows, he is a power lifter and pretty knowledgable about gear. Besides those 2 who are on a need to know basis the less people know the better.
