Well after 3 months on testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) with my new doctor I found by my house and takes my insurance (previous with IMT) of doing 200MG a week, had my blood work done...TT came back at 1286 which I was surprised because when I cycled to jump start with IMT before the summer doing 500MG it was 1616 so not a big decrease, thought it would be a lot more..My original numbers were like 302 and 286 TT before I started..The only thing he didnt run was my estrodol which I am going to do now, I told him I belive it was a little high and he gave me tamoxifin, 10MG once a day..does this seem right as it seems like to much...?

The doc also asked that I drop down from 200MG a week and run a little more than 100MG and see what this says in 3 months because there are a couple things on my blood work being just a tad high which is my AST and RDW..everything else was normal.

He seems to know what he is doing as he is a Uroligist and has other patients and belive me it is nice to have them do testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) and have to only pay $15.00 for a 200MG/ML bottle of cyp..Feeling wise I do feel good but like anyhting else there are bad things that can happen and I just want to make sure I am doing this all correct...I am 47 yo by the way and plan on doing another cycle in March and I have posted on here before, just been busy lately so havent been on the boards in quite some time....

Juts want everyone opinion on how this looks is all (especially halfwit)...I also take finesteride tablet once a day and doxicycline as well for the skin...

I'm not Halfwit, but...

Can you post your labs with reference ranges?

Why would he want to cut your dose in half? 1286 is just a little above normal. I could see going down to 160-180mg per week. Is he trying to get you to have TT in the 500-600 range?

You definitely need to check estradiol. At 200mg per week your estradiol is likely elevated.

As for tamoxifen (Nolvadex), I wouldn't recommend taking that. It is a SERM. You would be better off taking an Aromatase Inhibitor like Arimidex or Aromasin.

I'm not trying to be a jerk, but it sounds like you are getting what you are paying for from your new Urologist. Sounds like you would have been in much better hands if you stayed with IMT. Note - I don't use IMT personally, but I have seen the great advice they give guys.

Megatron I apprciate it man as i respect your opinion as well as I follow your guys threads all the time.He is not asking me to cut in half just not the full 200MG as he was just concerned with my AST levels which were 74 out of reference range of 14-50...The RDW was 15.9 from a range of 11.5-14-5..Yes agree IMT was great and loved the guys there but if insurance is picking this up and it is a no brainer for me, just harder to get dialed in is all as I do have Letro available to if need be to use..I didnt know that about tamoxifin, I asked him for the arimdex as well when I was there last week but he says they dont use that but use this instead......this is all a pain in the ass if you ask me..

Lowering red blood cells are easy. Donate blood. Donate it every 56 days. Exogenous test increases hematocrit ( red blood cells).

For AST take NAC. It is available over the counter. Try taking 800-1000mg every day.

Just curious, is your doc giving you any of this advice?

Thanks Megatron, actually no he isnt giving advice he is younger that is probably why I got put on testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) without any hesiatation with just talking with him and showing him my blood work for the past year as it was up and down as it went from 286 TT to 1600..He was more worried about my liver (AST) than red blood count actually but I didnt want to spook him and pretend to know everything since this was only my second visit with him..What does NAC stand for btw I will give this a shot..?..Basically every 3 months go in with my blood work to see him..
