TRT Progress and encouragement
About four weeks ago I started Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT). I was prescribed 200mg of test cyp per week with Anastrozole and 500 units of Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG) twice per week. My starting stats were 40yrs old, 5'9", and 250lbs. About a 1.5 weeks into the program my libido tanked. I cut back on the Anastrozole and gain my libido back within a week. I began to feel an energy that I haven't felt in years and quickly headed to the gym. Working out became fun and not a task that I always regretted. In the gym I discovered that I could lift a decent amount of weight and some days I feel like Superman. My first and second week I started working out each muscle group at least once. On my third week I increased my lifting and tried to give each group a good workout twice a week. As of today I have increased my starting lifting weight by 30% (less is some areas) and only feel fatigued and soreness till the next morning.
Before starting Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT), I would dam near eating anything. It was always easy to go to McDonalds, Wendy's, or Sonic to get a quick fix. There were always soft drinks in my house and consuming several large cups a night was not uncommon. When I started working out in the gym I completely changed my diet to low carbs and high protein. The sodas, fast foods, and junk were quickly stopped. I decided that if I wanted to lose the weight and look decent again a change must be made. I'm not sure about anyone else but, bringing you T levels back to normal and the effort in the gym, makes you stop eating crap.
Wrapping up my forth week, I've lost about 15lbs. I can definitely see a difference in the way I look and feel. Now don't get me wrong, I don't look like a body builder or a pro football player, but the muscles are starting to come back. I can't wait to see what the difference will next month and so on. Stay motivated!
