Hello new here and have been on testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) since 2008. I have since made some progress since I started. this is kinda long but here it goes...........I always end up with the same old thing every time on these forums though. Getting angry and wanting to smash peoples faces in because of my lack of libido. So I will try to refrain from wanting to kill anyone or going nuts on this thread. My new problem is... I have been chasing my e2 around for a long time now. I have recently gotten e2 half way normal by doing a quarter of an aromison every day. I then on occasion will get these episodes of high e2 or low e2 if I keep that dosage. I have to sometimes on the fly lay off of it or add an extra dose.
Recently my doctor and I decided to up my test dosage to much higher levels since we believe I may have some receptor down regulation from my past steroid days. I would stay on for a long time and really never get off and run pretty harsh stuff. So the added test was thought to be necessary as I maybe a special case. I do feel better overall and have always felt strong on testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) but always dealt with dead libido. Now I have had to up the dosage to a full half a pill of aromison a day to keep e2 in check and sometimes that is a lil too much so I knock it down to a quarter here and there. Thyroid levels all max normal range. I mean everything is either max normal range or dead middle. I have been told by two leading specialists that you may know of in this field that I am good hormone wise.
My question is that no one seems to want to answer is... why regardless of the dosage of test is it that I can literally feel my e2 raise and lower over the course of a single day. I do have low shbg.. that is my one low value. I know this causes increase in free test but even on the lowest dosage of test I can still feel e2 fluctuation over the course of a day. Like it usually goes.. e2 is at one point around 10 am to 1pm then it will lower until around 5or6 pm then it spikes and I feel the hot flash and it will be high until around 10pm. It will lower a little bit around then and I will go to bed. This is regardless of anti estrogen dosage. Say i took like a full pill of aromision or some really ridiculous dosage. The following day would go kinda low e2 feeling... then super low e2 feeling.. then when taht surge hits.. I might feel about dead on and no longer really too low.. then at night it would start to feel low again and I would try to sleep then. Now if I did the opposite and didnt take aromison for like 2 days.. It would go. High e2... followed by slowly feeling more normal e2.. then a huge spike where I would get super bad hypo symptoms and stinky armpits with total brain fog and every other super high e2 symptom you can think of. then it would lower some at night. Explain why it does that.. does e2 directly correlate to cortisol? Could my cortisol be constantly adjusting and causing my e2 to shift throughout the day? I mean even with keeping e2 semi manageable.. it still yoyos over the course of the day. I never feel the same from begging to end. I always have lil highs and lows with body Oder and other e2 symptoms. The Aromatase inhibitor (AI) just keeps them to a minimum if I keep e2 within a normal range.
