The lights went out and BeastMaster went down!!!!

Well this was definitely a first for me and before I tell you my gym incident ill give you my leg workout today and what it lead to.
I decided that I was going to superset everything this week. Today I absolutely killed legs and it went like this.


Leg Extensions w/ Leg Curls. 5 sets

Hack squats with stiff leg deads. 3 sets

Squats: decided to do 1 huge ass drop set going extremely deep. This is where I ran into my situation. I started with 6 25 lb. plates on each side with intentions to drop a plate from each side on every drop and do each set to failure. Well, I was on a roll until I got down to the last 25lb plates. A measly 95 lbs :) needless to say I attempted to start my last set of the drop with this weight and as soon as I made my downward movement bang... I passed clean out for just a split second. I fell forward(thank god) and the bar smashed off the rack making a loud as bang which I think is what instantly made me come right back to. I saw spots for about a minute or so afterwards. I came close plenty of times but never passed out weight training. After I got back to a normal state of mind I was a little embarrassed because I realized the whole gym was staring at me until a few of the regulars there started clapping and praising lol. Then I figured fawk it, shit happens, but yea it was pretty crazy.

I then did a big set of lunges with the same 95 lbs that had crippled me then did some valve raises and called it a day. Needless to say I'm exhausted a hell and will more then likely won't be walking, humping or taking a shit comfortably for the next week lol.. On a positive note I am inclined to believe I will grow from this workout ;)
 
Dude...that's so unreal...That motivated me big time lol its legs for me tomorrow...when I think I can't go any further ill think of you hahahahaha

LOL well I'm glad This had a positive effect on you!
I had a lot on my plate and used the gym to vent today. Isn't think this was gonna happen and don't think it's necessary to push this hard but it is what it is lol. Train hard bro!

Thanks grandil, just trying to get these legs up to par. I want blessed genetically with a good set of wheels and in the past haven't really trained them hard so just doing what I can do to bring them around. I want to make my worst body part my best. Nothing like some nasty wheels.
 
The beast in me says wow, must have been a good workout! However the "dad" in me says be careful...for passing out is your body's way to say WTF dude!!! Easy does it!!! :)
 
It is not uncommon for me to puke after a good leg workout but I have never passed out....Maybe I have a new goal or maybe not! lol
 
Honestly man I would get blood pressure checked ASAP.... and do not take stimulants like caffeine on a leg day. Also really work on your breathing and be aware to breath right while doing your leg work outs. I have felt the same feeling before man and I have high blood pressure. So I know how dangerous it can be. Think about what would have happen if you were benching 200 pounds and passed out ?????? broken neck or the bar would be resting in your mouth and your teeth would be gone! lol check yo self before you wreck your self ha ha ha ha ha im glad your ok man
 
I had a similar incident because I was running EC stack and it gave me heart palpitations because I didn't load enough potassium. Did deadlifts, ramped to really heavy 5 or less rep set. Decided to clean 185 into the rack for fun instead of just putting it on the safety bars and removing the last plates. Well it was a good clean and I got it into a solid rack, was walking into the squat rack and felt my heart started having palpitations, it fluttered a few times and I almost went down. Just got the bar onto the J hooks when things started to fade to black I held onto the bar and just kept thinking to myself "don't pass out don't pass out don't pass out". I did fade out for a second but I stayed vertical because I was leaning on the bar. I had headphones in and I just remember the music getting louder and louder as I faded out, it was scary stuff lol.

Good thinking on the blood pressure.
Yea after it happened it made me think so I checked blood pressure and Its fine. Didn't use any stimulants either but breathing may have gone out the window during the course of the drop set. It was a ridiculous drop, typically don't do that big of a drop with that many reps was just trying something different and it worked. My legs are fuckin killin me. Thanks for the input bro!

Haha that's pretty crazy bro, mine didn't have any fading at all. It was weird. Like someone turned the switch off then immediately back on.

I felt like a dork because a guy was staring at me in the mirror when I flipped back on. Almost embarrassing as the day I didn't quite rack my power clean and the day I was in a rush and walked on to the gym floor with my shorts on backwards. I fail a lot lmao.
