Thinking about switching to injections

I have a question though. My last blood test which was over a month ago resulted in a total T of 750 ng/dl. My E2 was 14, a little on the low side. I have since cut down on the Adex. I have been on androgle 1.62 for almost 6 months, and I am really not feeling too much different. Still have very low libido, do have a lack of energy. Now I know it has done something, as I have a lot more body hair. But is it possible not too feel other positive effects of a higher T level, but still have this effect. I'm thinking that Gels are just not going to work for me as far as giving me more energy, and increasing my libido.

I'm not sure a different form of test is going to make much of an difference. The gel is increasing your TT levels. Usually the issue guys have with gels is that they do not effectively increase TT levels over a long period of time. In the end, test is test.

In am not saying that trying injections is a bad idea. I just don't know if it is going to make the difference you are hoping to see.

You may want to try blasting supra physiological levels for a little bit when you get on injections. Sometimes the receptors need to be "woken up". But that is probably a conversation for the AAS forum.

Give injections a try and see how they go. If it doesn't work, maybe give a blast a try.

And I can't remember, but if you haven't already make sure you check other potential issues like thyroid and sleep apnea out.

Thanks for replying Meg. That's what I was thinking, that T is T. At the time of that test, I was doing 2 pumps. I started doing 4 pumps shortly after, so my TT could be higher. You certainly answered my question. I might as well stay on the Gel. It's rather strange that my libido has worsened on Androgel, when I thought it would have the opposite effect. My TSH number is always within range, so no thyroid issues. I was diagnosed with sleep apnea 8 years ago. It got better when I got my weight down to 205, come to think of it, so did my libido. I am presently at 218 at 5'11", and am on a diet. That's another thing, I am finding it extremely hard to lose weight. I find that I have to drastically take in way less calories in order to lose it.

I am not sure of that, but that was close to a month ago, and I have since went to .5mg EOD. I am seeing an TRT specialist doctor who is on TRT himself.

its way easier to control the amount you get to your bloodstream with injects, this is the major benefit, accuracy.

Was your E2 level of 14 the sensitive assay or regular? Your libido issue could definitely be caused by your E2 being too low.

Agree. Estradiol could definitely be the culprit. Being too high or too low definitely affects how you feel along with libido.

Well then what this means to me is, I have only been right a few times with the E2 control, where I felt in the zone. That's the thing I don't like about TRT. I wonder if I ever needed it, because my TT before starting was 400. Probably not that bad for a 58 yo. Very frustrating to say the least.

As a matter of fact, I wonder now if the androgel had anything to do with low DHEA, due to shutting down.
