Thyroid condition and AAS???

Hey guys,

I got a buddy who is interested in trying some test for the first time but he has a thyroid condition. He is on snythroid- im not sure of the dosage.

Does any know if its safe for him to take a little test and if it would help with his condition? Is there anything you guys can suggest for a cycle for him?

I can't see that being safe at all. There are risks for a healthy man, let alone one with a comprised endocrine system. I can't suggest it. His doc is gonna ass rape him when he finds out lol.

i also have thyroid condition and i take synthroid and am thinking of doing a test cyp cycle.. i am prescribed test cyp and only take enough to keep my levels normal.. if i take a cycle of test cyp at 500mg per week for 12 weeks or w.e will it effect my thyroid in a negative way? any replys are greatly appreciated thanks

Thats something you should ask your Dr since he already perscribed test cyp to you already.

What effects did you notice after being on 250mg a week? any change in your moods? anything more then average in energy or strength?

There are no issues in most cases, based strictly on a thyroid condition. However, there could be issues if he has any other undiagnosed condition. One of the most common conditions that can accompany hypothyroidism is adrenal deficiency. This can exacerbate existing issues, if not addressed before running a cycle.

I was on thyroid meds before starting trt and cycles. I had no problems what-so-ever. Also, what many do not know is that hypothyroidism is directly linked and can cause low natural test. If his doc is like most, he is only on enough Snythroid to keep him in the low range of normal. Adding test could be a big help, but he should have adrenal function and test levels evaluated first.

You're on Synthroid. Your thyroid has already been effected in a negative way, by something. Synthroid is a hormone replacement, not a supplement.

If he is still on synthroid should he cut back the meds if he does a test e? Did you have any complications during your cycle? Or after with post cycle therapy (pct)? Can you make any suggestions for post cycle therapy (pct) for this case?

Iv been doing some research my self and iv read that some lose quit a bit because of t3 levels dropping significantly? I'm not sure if it would be wise to suggest Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG) and clomids?

Sorry for overwhelming you with so many questions but it's been hard to find answers related to this case. We appreciate the advice

No you do not cut back the Synthroid. It would actually be a bad idea to run a cycle with reduced thyroid meds if you are hyothyroid.

Also, I had no complications related to my thyroid meds and PCT would be run as normal. This is nothing out of the ordinary, thyroid replacement meds are very, very common. You have to remember that being on thyroid meds replaces your thyroids natural production, so you do not have the highs and lows. The thyroid hormone levels remain consistent, but occasionally FT3 can be reduced, due to RT3 issues.

Synthroid is T4 and is converted to T3 mainly in the liver. If the liver becomes sluggish, T4 to T3 conversion can be effected, so it's always wise to run liver protection with or without thyroid issues.

There should be no issues but I am a big beliver that if you already have a condition, sometimes as 2rude put it there could be an undiagnosed issue. I would really have him talk to his doc and you not be caught in the middle op. Thats just my opinion though.

There should be no problem. I was on synthroid and when I cycled test I actually started feeling better than I did with synthroid only. In addition to this my tsh went down below 2 (1.9) while on cycle. I'd however, consider taking desiccated thyroid instead of synthetic if I was your friend.

Can you explain rt3 and ft3? What are they and what is the function. I also what kind of liver protection programs would you recommend. Would milk thistle be sufficient?

I did suggest him talking to a Dr about it as well bit that's his decision.. I just trying to get as much information for him as possible. I have experience with cycles but not with his condition.
