I tore my left pec a little over a week ago, the tear is in the muscle belly. My orthopedic doesn't want to do surgery and essentially told me to expect to regain all of my range of motion, expect mild deformity, and expect for that pec to be weaker from here on out.
I have regained most of my range of motion, I have no more pain in the area, and I am itching to get back in the gym. I am going to avoid doing any chest for at least another month.... And when I do I will start with push-ups and eventually work from there... I also will refrain from squats, deadlifts, hang cleans and overhead presses(essentially all of my favorite stuff to do in the gym) Other than that my strategy is to utilize machines for most body parts and hopefully I will still be able to do underhanded bent over rows.
Basically I am just looking for some advice on frequency and a split, this is my first pec tear so any advice will be appreciated
I am not on any gear at the moment, but this has spurred me into seeing about some TRT to hasten the recovery
