training after a cycle...

panteracfh

Knows whats up
ok, ive been doing 12 sets for chest, back, legs... and about 8-9 sets for bi's tri's forearms shoulders
and like 4-6 sets for calves
this was during my cycle...
now, i want to have a new split, working each muscle once a week and keeping it short and intense in the gym...
day 1 chest
day 2 back
day 3 shoulders/tri's
day 4 legs
day 5 bi's
2 days off, depending on my schedual...
how many sets should i do? less sets, less reps, keeping weight high, right? this way some days will be real short, like day 3 and 5 i can finish in 20-25min... let me know if this is good for retaining my gains off the cycle...thanks...

Ive got to say, I just dont like that routine.

Why dont you put Arms all in one rather than split it up. or try what
I currently do;

Day 1 Chest and Arms
Day 2 Back and Shoulders
Day 3 Legs

Plenty of rest, time to eat and more motivation to get down the gym to bust my balls. Rather than getting sick of the sight of the place. Ive been making huge progress in the past 6 months. Spending nomore than 1 hour at a time, Ive never been so big or so strong.

i can't do arms on the same day as chest.... and i like going to the gym, i rather go 5-6 days a week than less, and this way i don't overtrain. also, when i do less muscles at a time, each can get more effort...even if you bust your balls, you know that for example, if you go and do chest/arms....after your finish chest your not gonna be able to put as much energy into arms as if you were to come into the gym and just do arms...not YOU personally but anyone... that workout might work for you, but i know it wouldn't for me... i like the give the major muscles their own days...chest...back...legs...then group the smaller ones...that works better for me...

I agree with panteracfh... I am the same way, I put so much into my chest, back, and legs that when I would do tri's w/ chest and bi's with back I couldn't get the same intensity. That's when I am not ON, but that's a whole other situation, I feel like I could lift for days when I am on. I just won't allow myself to do that though.
I will work my tri's with shoulders sometimes also.
