training after surgery

Hi guys,

I just recently had surgery to remove gyno from my chest earlier this week and am kind of looking for some way to continue a workout of some sort or another, This will be the first week of training i will be missing in almost 5 years of lifting. Does anyone have any advice how to speed up recovery and how long it takes. My doctor removed the gland completely if that will help at all and cut along the seam of the nipple and tissue. Any help or advice is well appreciated.

Im going to be taking a week off regardless but I am wondering if that is enough or should i take off longer, and also should i start running before i get back into training.

thanks guys, doctor says its very much on my own body apparently he cleared me to start minor stretching today so im feeling not as bad. Hopefully after im done with this i can start a journal on here about my continued training.

I would give it minimum 2 weeks and then start back LIGHT the following week. And then by the 4th week you can start hitting it hard again. I had surgery a few months back and this is what I did. Also don't do any db flyes or cables or any movement that stretches the pec out for a while.
