Training or not

Every one or two weeks there is this damned day I have a nice training scheduled, but I do not feel in the good mood for a strong workout. Could be that I slept very little or bad, or I had to much stress or I feel somehow tired.

But it is over a week since I made my leg training and I see that the next few days probably will not be possible for me to train like I wished, so the question is: Do I go for training or do I cancel it.

There are prof’s from old fashion school, they say that they never missed a training and that this is the key to their success. Or once I read that one should follow his instinct, but Mentzer says this wouldn’t be good because human instinct tells you also things to do you should better not do in the gym.

I do follow a split of 3 and I train 2-3 per week with weights and 2-3 times endurance. This means, example, I do squatting every 8-9 days.

Without knowing your daily life and habits it's hard to tell what the cause is. However it sounds almost as if you are very stressed or burned out. I have been in the same situation before and at the time it was overtraining causing these problems. If it only happens a day or two and is not consistent then I would say it is just a bad night of sleep or extra stress. On the other hand, if you feel this way the entire week then it could be overtraining and I would either increase calories or take a week off to recuperate.
