Tren cycle coming up: how can I improve connective tissue?

I'm hoping to gain 30-40lbs on my bench press over a 12 week Test/Tren cycle. I enjoyed my DECA cycle, and got good strength gains, but realize the joint protection probably played a role in keeping my shoulders healthy. It sounds like the significant strength gains associated with Tren usage definitely pose a certain amount of risk to joints and connective tissue.

I'm starting to read that there may be ways to increase connective tissue strength. Anybody have any real-world experience here? I can realistically put off the cycle for three weeks or so, is there anything that I can do in that amount of time to prep my body to reduce the chances of injury?

i take glucosamine for joint support all the time.. but thats not going to get your joint too much stronger in that short amount of time. if youve been training heavy for a few years then your connective tissue should naturally be strong. i would look into something like Animals- Flex pak. its deff not going to give you the same support as deca but it has a good blend and i deff cant hurt

I don't really no of any way to improve connective tisssue. But I would say that as long as uv lifter for a good wile and u life heavy on a regular basis then uv done a good job of repairing urself. I would take some joint support, vitamins, and stay smart when u lift.

I would say make sure to not lift with any jerking motions. Have proper technique. And don't start maxing out. Or going to much above what you could normally lift. Lifting heavy helps with muscle growth but if your in the 8- 12 rep range you decrease your chances of injury. Also a lot of pro's lift with high reps you have to find what works the best for you. But write down all the weight you usually handle and how many reps and be sure not to go over it to much.

Thanks for the replies. I have been growing well over the last year using a modified conjugate workout. It's a more extended plan than the official version, done over 3-4 weeks but I have a solid rotation of heavy (sets of 3-5 reps) dynamic (50% with band), rest pause (8second negative) and plenty of extra warm up sets at 8-12 reps.

I've added in some extreme stretching with a band for the shoulders and delts.

Am I missing anything?

I am prompted to pose the question because I came across an article that seemed to assume that going heavy (1-5 reps per set) built muscle fiber strength, but to build connective tissue accordingly one must also use lower resistance/higher rep workouts as well. No real science was given to back it up, but they seemed quite sure of the validity of their assumption.

Omega had a pretty interesting thread about using anavar for it's collagen synthesis properties while using trenbolone. I'm sure you'll be able to find the thread pretty easily. I'm a horrible judge of knowing my connective tissue strength based on how I feel, but I do know when to calm down if my elbows/shoulders start to scream at me.

Var will def aid in the connective tissue area. But you can't take it the entire cycle...throw it in the last 6 weeks.
But the key is proper lifting/form

Indeed.

I'M LOOKING AT YOU, MISTER "I DO CURLS WITH MY BACK" GUY.

Sorry, I so want to slap kids that I see doing that. :p

Awh c'mon half its called "controlled momentum" hahahaha
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. Don't say momentum! I'm basically at the pinnacle of my physics education (well, from a pure physics stand-point) and just had a flashback seeing that word regarding bullets and elastic collisions. :( I felt bad enough when I tried explaining how smaller diameter syringes have a higher pressure and got into a full blown rant about Bernoulli's Law and the Continuity Principle.

Fuck, I just need to get done with school already so I can be a meathead full-time again! :p

Oddly, I do think controlling the negative portion of a set provides bigger gains than the positive portion (contraction). Maybe I should bring back negatives to my sets, I miss those. Hmmm. :Playboy:

great topic. i'm 45, have a few cycles under my belt. have NEVER injured myself ever . no scientific proof but last two cycles have been test/tren A and i recently blew my shoulder up. was doing dumbbell presses with just 100 lbs ea and went to lift and it was like no one was home. tore it good. black and blue ect. thinking next cycle is going to be deca. could always be a huge coincidence but i think for ME going to do tren once a year will be good :) started reading up on the effects of tendons ect.

Lol so when I see Nasser swing his whole body while doing curls halfwit I should not emulate that :( ha ha ha I went to the gym a few days ago after watching a Nasser bodybuilding video and used heavy weights and cheat curled. I am always the type of guy to have perfect technique but I saw Nasser do it so monkey see monkey do.

I have no idea why pros would do something like that, especially when they have access to trainers we can only dream of. Either he knows something we don't, or it was a dramatization for the video? Or maybe we're doing it wrong and having poor form is the ticket to the pros? :wiggle:

I dig watching them lift like 25lb dumbbells for videos too. All those veins and muscles bulging with that weight as if it's their working set weight. Looks neat though! :D
