It really depends on when you're going to be taking your protein and what your mix is designed for. Are you only going to take it post workout? For instance, your mix would not be ideal for a pre-bedtime shake.

Personally, I like the cold-filtration whey as opposed to the ion exchange (and it is a little cheaper as well).

Research also shows that peptide-bound glutamine is far more effective than free form l-glutamine (a far higher percentage gets into circulation) and since there isn't a huge difference in price, you might want to switch that and you could even lower the percentage.

That being said, it's hard to give any really good advice without more information about your goals, your diet, etc. Supplements are just that - additions to your current diet. As a final note, I like to order things separately from trueprotein so that I can make multiple custom mixes. I can make a morning shake, a post-workout shake, a pre-bedtime shake etc.

Flax = fat.. but it is a good type of fat.

I would not use it post or pre workout, but any other time in the day it is fine.

I personally wouldn't have flax in that mix, because the eg white will already slow the digestion somewhat. I would make the egg white 10% of the mix, but otherwise it looks good.

thanx for the comments.

im looking for a good post workout shake to help me repair quicker and also help me get strenth.

that being said, im also trying to loose weight (19% bf right now, goal is 12) and do cardio 5x a week.

also what would be a good morning shake? i take isopure in the morning, and after a workout. seems to be working good.

please post comments/suggestions. thanks

Nothing is better then quality foods. Use supplements as supplements not meal replacements.
U won't be disappointed w/True protein. Good shit. :D

Those look pretty good, though personally I like to add some carbs to my post workout shakes. Btw, why don't you add any sweetener to the mix? It's free after all.

do i really need the sweetners? tryin to get the least calories i can cuz im trying to loose fat weight. does it taste good without sweetners?

also, what sweetners do you reccomend? i stay away from aspartame. what has low calories? thanks

Some of the flavours I like without sweetener. For example, I found that chocolate was too sweet with the addition.. On the other hand, I can drink vanilla with or without sweetener.

Great Thread. Just stumbled onto true protein. I am making a post workout shake but am wondering how many carbs to put in it. I am on a lower carb diet. would 10% be too much?
