Trying to avoid a future potential problem

About six months ago I thought I knew enough about Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) to get started. After a few months a new piece of info comes to light. The eventuality of high RBC count and that if it elevates you just need to donate blood to remedy it.

Here is my future potential problem. I spent 20 years in the military and travelled the world. During my travels I came into contact with TB and had to do the six months of meds to protect myself from getting active TB later in life. Now I believe I may not be able to just walk into a clinic and donate blood. So if and when I need to do this how am I going to get someone to take my blood just to throw it away? I am thinking it might be difficult to get my general pratitioner to understand this since most have no understanding of Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) and I have to ussually pay for my own BW.

I suppose if my RBC count gets too high they would know this is the only option I hope. Has anyone else had this problem?

If you have a medical need to "purge" out excess blood to prevent "sludging", they would have to perform the procedure regardless.

Jus' because your blood is un-donatable, doesn't mean they won't do it.
