Trying to understand Free test and AI

synonymous

The AI will keep the free test from converting into E2, right? What happens to that test exactly? Or am I missing a key point of HRT?

AI just reduces the amount of testosterone that converts to estradiol. This allows it to remain in the form of Testosterone and reach its target tissues. This is a good thing if you don't force your estradiol too low.

With more reaching target tissue, is there any specific 'enhancements' as far as muscle gains, weight loss, increase in libido etc? Or is it just a numbers thing?

BTW: Canada won Gold in hockey...awesomeness all around!!

basically the ai reduce the amount of TOTAL test that converts to Estradiol, leading to more FREE test.
Which will yield slight benefits, but getting estradiol to an appropriate range will give more benefits then a slight increase in free testosterone.

Generally, yes.

Yes to the 'enhancements' or the 'numbers only'

Again, this may be a placebo effect of the AI but last week after my gym days, the pump seemed to last much longer and my rest times needed between exercises shorter. Placebo or not, I hope it stays that way. HCT is something I'm going to have to stay on top of.

Other than E2 and free test, is there anything really necessary to check as far as blood tests at the end of 4 weeks? It cost me close to 100USD for the baseline tests. Would like to take some of that and put it to some test so I can self-inject at home and spread the 250mg over 2 shots...and stick with it if it makes a difference.

He means yes to the enhancements, but the effects your feeling are a combination of the lowered estrogen and a boost in free test. It isn't plaebo my friend. Taking an ai makes all the difference and it kicks in for me personally between 1-3 days and it's night and day. Without the ai I wouldn't even get pumped, now I'm busting through my shirts(okay not really but still).

If you're feeling good the estradiol sensitive and test, CBC, CMP all you really need. If not I'd get thyroid panel, dhea, cortisol, iron panel, dht for starters.

I'd save the money though so you can self inject, every 2 weeks is just asking for problems.

Yes to enhancements in general.

I wouldn't bother checking free test. Checked TT, E2, CBC, Metabolic Panel. Check lipids occasionally. Check PSA once in a while if you are worried about prostate cancer.

Right now I'm getting 250mg 1x week. Not twice a month.

Still, cool to know.

Is it normal to have zits on my chest? I've had 2 big ones in the last week...popped them!! I'm super clean when it comes to hygiene (Although popping probably isn't good). I've heard of back acne but never on the chest...but that could be me.

Right now I'm only worried about HCT since I'm in the upper region. Doc isn't worried, not sure when I should be worried. How far past normal should I be worried? Or is getting close to the upper range worry enough?

I've taken an AI while natty EOD and E3D at 0.25 mg (ADEX)...
My Free T was still low, TT was just above normal but BIo Avail. T was low middle range...
AI's lower SHBG.

I've had 3 or so zits this week...around hip area and a couple on back. Don't know if its elevated E2 though.
