Type I Diabetes question(s)

Howdy and Aloha,

Type I diabetic here. I'm posting as this site appears to have a large membership knowledge base. I'm 37, 220 lbs, 6'1", have no diabetic complications, but have insulin insensitivity. Ok.

Reasons for investigating steroids, et.al.; health and muscle growth, in that order. I ran marathons for 6 years just prior to my diagnosis (and weighed 180 most of my life.) I have a good grasp of diet and nutrition. I know many members recommend insulin but as a diabetic I'm leary of the long term side effects of synthetic insulin. My endocronology team now recommends weight lifting for muscle growth which they anticipate allowing less insulin intake. No prescriptions are forethcoming to assist in my hopeful muscle growth... Dang. My blood work looks good - low cholesterol, normal test levels, 6.7 A1C...

Anyone care to lend their expertise to advise pro/con on my potential steriod/ HGH usage along with strenuous lifting?

My apologies in advance if my post seems redundant - I could not find previously posted info pertaining to my situation.

Cheers

To do an Anabolic Androgenic Steroids (AAS) cycle right now is ridiculous. Forget about that.

HOWEVER, nearly all diabetic men can benefit from testosterone replacement therapy (TRT). In fact, clinical trials are currently being run that test Androgel for diabetic men.

First things first. Get a total and free testosterone blood test done.

Forgot to mention: I take 32 units Lantus insulin every morning and 4-10 units of humulin R before every meal. I gained 40 lbs within 4 months of starting to take insulin.

well im diabetec too and we have the same A1c
I have trained 4 years before i decided to take my first cycle .
im on a cycle now and no side effects whats so ever .

so start training and diet , grow in muscle naturally and then maybe you can strat thinking on a cycle

your diabetes is balanced and your still young to make progress
